The Drifter model was developed by Taylor's with the traditional
customer in mind. This model is built on a new model cattleman frame and
features a full octagonal barrel. This barrel option makes the Drifter
stand apart from the standard cattleman models because it gives the
revolver such a classic appeal. Since the drifter models are copied off
of the original single action design they feature a fixed blade front
sight. The Drifter model frames are forged and Taylor Tuning is
available on this model.

I was admiring this pistol for some time. I went ahead & made yet another purchase from Buds. I was not disappointed in the least bit at all. Such a beautiful pistol, I couldn’t get to the range quick enough, once I did, what a cool experience firing 38,s & then 357 mags. It handled both with no problem at all, sites are right on. ( I just turned 65) It’s time to get that Cowboy Pistol… Stay Safe Shoot Well Be Kind

I had been looking at this pistol for some time, I wasn’t sure about sure about purchasing a 357 / 38. Currently my collection did not have anything greater than my 9 mm / 22 / & my 20gg that is within 2 steps from my bed. I keep 3 in the barrel, nothing chambered, safety off, ready to rack & point & pull. Enough about that. My Taylor 1873 Cattlemen Drifter is so amazing, I guess it brings out the past in us older guys, Cowboy days were great when we were younger. Shooting this is a dream, The Recoil when firing 357 rounds with my Taylor is virtually not there. Shots 38,s perfectly. The pistol is simply Awesome Stay Safe- Enjoy Shooting-Be Kind to Others.

Great firearm. Smooth action. The wood grip is very nice, and stood out to me when I first picked it up. The octagonal barrel is unique. Definitely worth the price!
