The innovative M&P380 Shield EZ pistol is the latest addition to the Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 family, and provides a perfect option for both first-time shooters and experienced hand gunners alike. Built for personal protection and every-day carry, the M&P380 Shield EZ was designed for ease of use, with a slide that is easy to rack, magazines which are easy to load, and controls which are simple and straightforward. A 1911-style grip safety is a standard feature on the Shield EZ, adding an additional layer of safety and confidence. Being chambered in 380 ACP, recoil is minimal and perfectly manageable, while maintaining ballistic performance. Included with this pistol are two 8-round magazines.

I have a few dozen Sigs and multiple other pistols. This has the absolute worst trigger pull I have ever experienced on any gun.

Gun is nice and easy to load and rack.

I do not like the fact that it has no safety lever

Purchased for my wife and I will not give it to her as I feel it

Is to unsafe for her. Purchased a Browning 1911 380 compact

Jand it is as easy to load and has a safety level. She loves it.

I bought the S&W .380 EZ and it did not ship for 1 week due to the fact that I paid by E-Check. They informed me that they keep the money for 5 business days even though I know they received my money the next day. The gun seems to shoot low and left. I shoot 100 rounds of Lawman .380 ammo and had 4 "stove-pipe" misfires. It seems to be a pretty common issue with this gun. I got it for my wife, so she does like how easy it is to rack the slide and load it. The recoil seems much less than my 9mm too, so she likes that a lot. I will look into the "stove-pipe" issue.

With all the avenues open to anyone with a smart phone, tablet, or computer, it is extremely difficult to stay competitive in today’s market. Somehow Buds does it, time and time again.
The prices are unbelievable. They keep a great selection and advertise well. Customer service needs are addressed in a timely fashion and the reps are pretty decent.
The only complaint that I will lodge against Buds is that I wish that they would make it easier for us Marylanders to purchase guns a little easier. I wanted to purchase a SIG that had two 15 round mags and they wouldn’t sell me the gun even though I asked them to keep the mags and send the gun alone. I really couldn’t understand that one. But whose perfect?
All in all, they’re the best doing it!

good gun does everything EASY :-) My only complaint is my hands are slender and I apparently don't enough enough meat on them to compress the grip safety so I put a wide rubber band on the grip problem solved this is NOT a carry gun its turned into a range gun In my opinion its too big to carry anyway. My G42 is almost too big to carry in south Florida where we don't wear heavy clothing.. I think its a great gun to teach my wife to shoot something bigger than a 22

Seeing as how this was my first foray into the realm of 380 auto, I did quite a bit of research on this gun prior to purchasing from Buds. All I can say is that I am not at all disappointed! Day at the range it performed flawlessly with several types of ammunition. Ridiculously easy to rack the slide and load the magazine, as advertised. Hard to beat for the price. I definitely recommend it.

This is the perfect gun for anyone that has a weaker or age-weakened grasp and has difficulty racking the slides of most autos. The magazine is also extremely easy to load with the side tabs. You can pull the tab down and drop in the new bullets rather forcing the bullets down from above. It has a tactile loaded chamber indicator so you can check loaded status without a press check. The grip angle is perfect. It is a little bit larger than the new crop of CCW guns but that gives you a better grip on it. It’s locked breech handles recoil way better that blow back guns like the ppk. It is way, way easier to shoot accurately than a five shot j-frame revolver, doesn’t weigh a lot more than the air weights, has 8 plus 1 rounds and ballistically gives the 38 special a run for its money. The grip safety I think is a big plus. I have two EZs, both a manual safety and no thumb safety. I honestly prefer the manual safety. It a single action hammered fired gun although the hammer is fully enclosed. With the manual safety engaged, and the grip safety, the manual of arms is identical to a1911 cocked and locked. Thank you Simith and Wesson, for creating the tool I needed at 67 to continue to successfully carry my gun to defend myself.

There could be no better service, fast and on time. This is not the first time ordering from them and will always use their service. The gun is a dream to shoot and recommend it to anyone having trouble racking a gun.

While I am sure that buds has them on order there is no way of knowing when it will be back in stock. I suggest that you use the notify me button. Buds will email you when they are back in stock This in no way obligates you to purchase the item. We are not buds employees we are volunteers that answer questions

Karl, I also own both, if you like the Bersa I think you will love the EZ. It is larger than the Bersa, but my last 300 round range test was flawless with multiple brands, weights and types of rounds. My wife loves the EZ more than any other pistol we have and it is now her primary CCW piece.

380 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) is a compact rimless cartridge also known as 9mm Short. 38 Special is a rimmed revolver cartridge that is significantly longer and does not generally function well in semi-auto guns unlike 380 ACP. Ballistically, 38 Special has more energy but neither of the two are exceptionally powerful. The difference is very visible when you see them:
