I have had my eye on this gun for over a year waiting for some extra cash. I have a bunch of 7.62 x 39 stashed away since the Janet Reno days, and I am a fan of the SKS and AK variants, but I really liked a CETME chambered in Commie 30. I finally decided to make the purchase from Buds. The PTR 32 is a VERY well made firearm, made right here in South Carolina. Patterned after the CETME/HK91 this rifle has every bit the fit and finish of the HK. I like guns I can shoot and Commie 30 is cheap compared to the $1 a shot for .308.
This rifle boasts that it can accept any AK47 magazine. Virtually all the YouTube videos I watch showed the gun taking every mag they tried.
When I unboxed this rifle I was in awe of its quality construction, fit and finish. My gun was shipped with a Mag-Pul 30 rounder and it fit snug and feels very solid. However, my gun would NOT accept Norinco, S. Korean, Bulgarian, Pro-Mag or Tapco magazines. I tried 15 different mags and only the mag they shipped would seat properly. I contacted PTR. The customer service rep was great. He told me that the gun most definitely should accept and properly seat all those mags; He sincerely apologized for the issue, then emailed me a shipping label for me to send the gun back and have their service department "make it right".
I shipped my gun (unfired) to PTR and they now tell me it will be 6 to 8 weeks to get my rifle back. Does PTR have this many broken rifles sent back? Do they not have adequate staff? 6 to 8 weeks is awful. Buy a PTR but hope it works, if not you’ll be waiting.

I waited till I had a chance to fire my PTR 32 before I wrote this review. What every one has said about this rifle is true, it is extremely accurate. I had no problems zeroing the rifle with an HK sight tool off of amazon. The 7.62x39 makes this gun a dream to shoot. It is light on the wallet and light in the shoulder. The gun is heavy but the pay off is zero recoil. Yes you feel the gun cycle but there is no "kick" (not that 7.62x39 has recoil compared to 308 and up). This gun feels like a 5.45x39 AK when it cycles. You feel the trigger break, hear a bang and feel a wiggle and that is it. I was shooing sub 2" groups at 100 yards on steel from the prone with no rest with iron sights. I was shooting cheap Golden Tiger 7.62x39 and I know there is better ammo out there than this and i know with a rest and an optic this gun can perform. The trigger is a mushy 6-7lbs. That is the nature of HK type guns. The weight of the rifle helps keep the sights steady when pulling that kind of weight and to me it isn't all that bad once you get used to it. This rifle has fed from every kind of stick AK mag I have laying around however I will dedicate AK pmags to it. The mag well keeps this rifle from accepting romanian drum magazines but i can live with this. 7lbs of magazine added to a 9 lb rifle takes the fun out of a mag dump. I ll keep the drums to the ak's. The slot the charging handle slides in is a tad sharp and I sliced my knuckle pretty good the first time I violently cycled the action. I rubbed that slot with a pmag and dulled the sharp edges on the slot and I have not cut myself since. (Yes you read correctly that I rubbed down the sharp edge with a pmag. Its my gun and i can scratch it if I want too.) The flutes in the chamber do leave marks on the ejected casings which is cool and one of the reasons that I did not buy a PTR 91 (I reload my 308 and this would destroy my brass). Over all this gun is more than I expected. The price is high but you have to Pay to Play HK (Clone).

Wow. I am seriously impressed with the quality of this firearm. It’s going to compliment my mini-30 , which was also purchased from Buds very well. I love that it accepts standard K mags and shoots cheap ammo, something my Mini-30 has some issues, but still fun. Super fast delivery and Buds gets 5/5 again.

Straight out of the box it shot like a broken in rifle. I used Wolf Classic ammo which it digested with no problems and let me tell you that this rifle is accurate. I can't say enough about how well it functions. One of the best buys I have ever pulled the trigger on. Get one! You can thank me later.

Every gun purchase is a compromise of sorts, and the PTR 32 KFR is no exception. Sure, it's heavy up front and the hand guard gets hot after only a few rounds, but it's also smooth, accurate, and fun as all get out to shoot. I Frog Lubed and shot this rifle today making sure to follow the recommended break-in procedure, and was able to achieve 5" groups at 100 yards while seated using only the included Pmag and my elbows to support the weapon and shooting through iron sites. I believe that with an RMR or low power scope, this rifle is probably capable of 2 MOA accuracy out to 250 or 300 yards. Recoil is nice and easy to deal with and muzzle rise is almost non-existent when firing rapidly. If you're looking for different and dependable, this rifle is worth a look.

Very tight firearm. You have to be Brutus to disassemble this rifle initially, but after 200-300 rounds, you can disassemble with ease, like my PTR-91. Also, since it's delayed roller back, use 7.62x39 rounds with adequate powder. The tulla ammo doesn't jam, but misfires 2/20 rounds. The BCG is big and heavy, therefore needs a lot of gas to propel it forward. Then again, thats what makes this rifle the most accurate 7.62x39 rifle around. It's like a semi-auto that operates like a bolt action.
