The gun I purchased is amazing other than the gun showed up without its magazine. I am unable to shoot it until I find out how to get ahold of you guys. So if someone could reach back out to me that would be great. Thank you.

I'm going to submit an initial review primarily because the interwebs don't seem to have many on this model of the Sig M400, the SDI VTAC.
My first reactions upon unboxing were that this is a nice looking rifle. Profile is great and weight just right. Control manipulation is fantastic, truly ambidextrous. Yeah yeah, I can imagine the purist "tacticool" dudes making noise about not needing full ambi controls, as for me I found them easily handled.
Before the trial run and after mounting a Leupold RDS I thought as an experiment I'd try Shawn Ryan's 36/25 yard zero ( https://www.vigilanceelite.com/blogs/vigilance-elite-blogs/3-
6-yard-zero ) - three rounds later, four clicks right, two clicks up, everything was shiny.
As to the "why" of this two year old model still being so readily available across the various online retail sites I've found myself wondering -- after I shot it, what am I missing here? Did Sig go too far in taking a mid-level gun like the Tread and trying to get it to play with the upper class kids? Were they trying to get agency recognition for the mature M400 (pre "Tread"?) Was what the market would accept price wise wrongly estimated? I have no answer. However, what I did arrive at was the front end furniture is excellent. The two-stage "match" trigger isn't top-shelf but it's no slouch either. It's comes with a carbon steel nitride coated barrel finished off with a compensated flash hider. Also included was one of Kyle Lamb's VTAC slings. Icing on the cake would have been an M-Lok QD adapter and a couple of swivels, but that's a minor complaint. After a bit of quick mental math to add all of these features to the base M400 Tread, the feature set was in the ball park price wise, very possibly less, with the SDI as built.
Does the Sig M400 SDI cost too much for what you get? I'll leave that for you to decide. As for me, I purchased one so there my answer.
