This is an extremely fine firearm. Very well made and finished. An authentic 4 click single action revolver that does not disappoint. Gave it a quick wipe down and went and put it to work. It is a pleasure to shoot. Low recoil and very accurate. Was hitting right where I aimed after the second shot. Get one and you won't want to let anyone else shoot it or touch it.

Just received this PP410 a couple days ago from Bud's and, after an initial cleaning, took it to the range yesterday. Flawless! Put 50 rounds of .45LC through it with no issues whatsoever. Hammer and trigger have very smooth action, accuracy is excellent (better than I am) at 20 yds, and recoil is minimal for a.45. Fit and finish are first rate, and the walnut grips look and feel great. The PP410 is a Pietta and is a 4-click, which is one reason I bought it over the similar Uberti model. I have another Uberti .45 (5.5 barrel), but it was originally a 3-click and had problems with light strikes. Had it converted to a 4-click and it's fine. I think the Piettas are also slightly heavier, which helps minimize recoil. The PP410 cylinder pin was a little difficult to remove and replace, but should settle in with use. Love the gun and, as always, Bud's service was great. Very happy with this gem.

The best two pistols ever made are the 1873 SAA Colt and the 1911 Colt. You should probably have at least a clone of each. This one was made by Pietta. Pietta was chosen on purpose. As of the time of writing, this one is a four-clicker. Fit and finish are top notch and better metal-to-metal and better metal-to-wood fit than any Uberti SAA that I own. The Uberti equivalent model# would be MP410. Cimarron brings in and sells both. Also, this one has far better wood grips than any SAA that I own. There are 21 species of Walnut tree. Just because it says 'Walnut' doesn't necessarily mean American Walnut. My other SAAs with walnut grips are underwhelming compared to this one. They always seem too light in color, too shiny, too orange and without much or any grain. The grips on this one look like American or Black Walnut. They seem like they were carved from the same wood as a Springfield M1A stock. They are nice, medium-brown, matte finish, no orange, plenty of wood grain and my example even has a hint of the tiger-stripe banding you sometimes see in American Walnut. This is the banding that runs perpendicular to the grain and is sometimes faked. Action works as it should. Trigger crisp and light. This example is without flaws or blemishes and looks like it belongs in a museum. I couldn't be happier. It's a good idea to also pick up one in 357 so you can load it with 38 Special for the wife or G.F. It will be a cheaper day at the range because neither of you will burn through ammo very fast shooting SA. Lastly, please join the NRA to help protect your right to buy and own firearms or that right will be taken away.

Exactly what I wanted in a replica - 4 clicks, push button for the cylinder pin. Also, top of the barrel shows mfg as Cimarron Firearms Co., Fredericksburg Texas. - no Pietta on the gun only on the manual.

First time buyer with Bud's and my first Colt reproduction purchase.This Cimarron Frontier is as advertised.Nicely fitted and timed. The hammer falls into battery and locks up tight on the fourth "click"without leaving a mark on the cylinder.I own a Ruger Liberty Model Blackhawk and a New Vaquero and this gun,right out of the box, shoots every bit as good. The Rugers are both tuned and properly timed and have the cylinder throats honed to .4525 and the forcing cones to eleven degrees. The 255gn RNFP impacted the target 2" low at six o'clock and the Lyman #454190s were centered with the same charge of Herco.Good finish and smooth action make it a pleasure to shoot. The only problem I have is that I can't get the ejector rod housing off to clean it because of the protective "goop" that is applied for shipping.I keep squirting penetrating oil in the screw hole to break up the grease and that seems to be working.The grips are slick and a stout load stings a bit.Five stars!
