Beautiful gun, works well and definitely a keeper. So good I own 2 of these. The pistol of the Old West in .357 mag.

I was well pleased with the Cimarron PP401 Frontier 6RD 357MAG/38SP 5.5" I received. The metal and wood fits are well done as is the finish. Action is relatively smooth (should only get better with use) and the trigger is crisp, although slightly heavy at 5lb. The sights on mine are pretty much dead on in the 10 to 20 yard range. All in all I don't think it can be beat for it's price range.

Love this revolver! Very smooth trigger action. Description says factory tuned and I have to agree. Very accurate target shooting at range. One of my favorite SAA clones.

First of all the ordering process was totally fine. The gun itself is great. The case hardening on the frame and hammer looks awesome, it has nice dark bluing on the barrel, cylinder, and grip frame, and the markings on the barrel are nice and subtle. It shoots nicely, though I was only shooting .38s, but I'm sure the recoil even with .357s would be easy to handle.

Just picked up my gun from Buds. A very good looking pistol. Took it out to put some rounds through it a ran across a little problem. After inserting the rounds in the chamber, the cylinder would bind up between the firing pin hole and bullets! After inspecting it, noticed that the hole for the hammer firing pin hole was not flush with the receiver inside between the cylinder. Instead of having to send it back and deal with the hassle, I took a file and filed the rough uneven hole flush and reblued. Just a bit of advice but when you pick up the gun from your ffl, you might want to try it out with rounds in it. Buds was great as usual. A little disappointed in quality control from manufacturer. First Cimarron I have ever bought, usually buy Uberti as I am a Cowboy action shooter. Not a big deal but should have been checked out better. Uncertain as to whether I will buy Cimarron arms again. Its a shame as it is a sweet handgun.
