The G2S Slim from Taurus is the next incarnation of subcompact personal defense pistols made by the Brazilian manufacturer. Bought this based on price and turns out to be a pretty awesome firearm especially for the price. My wife likes it because of the size and feel. Shoots great and haven’t had any issues from this gun. I generally like alittle more capacity but am very pleased with this purchase.

In 2018,I bought the black version of the Taurus G2s 9mm pistol and I have been extremely happy with it's performance. With standard 124 grn fmj's from Magtech this gun has been flawless and accurate. Very light and sits in my right pocket great. So, when the Stainless version of the Taurus G2s came up for months at a great price, I just could not resist getting a stainless version of the great gun I already owned. The G2s is a single stack 7 round magazine weapon that is very slim and fits in a jeans pocket like it is not even there. I know. Several times when I got to work ,I have to go back out to my car and lock the gun up. When I got the Stainless G2s yesterday, I examined it at my FFL dealer and it was beautiful with just a skim of oil on the stainless. I looked at it closely when I got home and was astonished how well it was finished. The stainless slide is a matte finish with computer etched graphics that look crisp and perfect. The polymer grip looks like quality and feels great in the hand. The left side manual safety works secure and crisp. And there is a loaded chamber indicator on the top of the slide of the gun. No guessing. I took it home and took the slide off, which is really easy. I took the spring and barrel out. There are many Youtube videos how to do it. I cleaned the gun with CLP cleaner lubricant and lubed the whole gun up before going to the range today. Taking special time to lube the trigger mechanism, slide release lever and firing pin. Just a drop or two on each...don't drown it. I also had a audible click in the trigger which ,after cleaning the gun and working the trigger fifty times went away. I use only brand new 124 grn fmj's ( Magtech) in my two Taurus's because they are reliable and accurate for me. And the range time today proved that to be true. This new stainless G2s shoots just as great as my first black one. After adjusting the rear sight, which took four adjustments, you gotta go slow, I got one inch groups at 7 yards easily and a group the palm of your hand can cover at ten yards. And that was with no glasses (1.25 magnification ) on . Three blurry white dot sights..lol. Zero malfunctions in eighty rounds. I am very happy. This just over $200 gun looks magnificent and works great too. I don't expect to put more then a 100 to 200 rounds a year through these guns so they will likely last me a very long time. Thanks to Taurus and to Buds. I am really stunned at how great this low cost Taurus is made. Good job, Taurus.
