Hi, This gun comes with 5/8x24 thread, so any 5/8x24 thread muzzle brake should work. Checkout Midwest Industries 30 Caliber AR-10 Muzzle Brake - 5/8x24. Its $30 and crazy effective. Cheers.

Scott - This rifle comes from the factory with a "Detachable 10-round Magpul AICS magazine" according to Savage. https://savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=57006 .... Everything I find indicates the MagPul 549 Five round mag will fit. Just make sure you get the updated one with the brown follower.

So which is it? Does the Magpul AICS PMAG work with this or not? Savage website says yes but not sure if this rifle is an older model.

Scott, No the Mag-Pul model 549 magazine for .308, 7.62, 6.5 creed will not fit or function in this firearm. It will function in the Savage BA Stealth, but not the model 110 tactical.

Did a lot of research before purchasing. I did not want to spend thousands right away. I am not a new hunter but wanted something to get me restarted. Great looking Savage 110 Tactical 6.5 rifle with lots accessories to customize your needs. Used Vortex 30 mm rings and a Sig Sauer Whiskey 4 Scope. I am very excited to take it to the range and hunting next year in WA. Love my purchase. Of course, fast delivery from Buds.

great shooting rifle. Did have somewhat of a break in period for the bolt. When shooting a hotter load (sierra gamechanger) bolt was somewhat sticky. But we polished the bolt face and cylinder and seemed to be a lot better. The tactical rifles seem to have a much tighter cylinder. But overall a great buy. AWESOME trigger by the way.

Good Rifle , don't like Buds policy on cancellation fee of 10 % when rifle wasn't shipped in time frame promised . after delay i asked if i could exchange for same rifle with different color stock and they abruptly said no . Not courteous and didn't apologize . charged me $60. when it would have been simple to change order at the time since they had done nothing to that point . .

Very nice basic bolt action rifle !!! nice trigger ! love the adjustable stock risers and cheek weld.
without going full on custom , my hats off to savage for making a rifle that has user friendly adjustments.
at a great price. the magazine fit could be a but better,or maybe it's the poly mag itself,i have to give it a smack sometimes
to get everything running smooth.The bolt is a tad loose running through the interior but of course i'm comparing it to WAY
more expensive rifles.Love the barrel ! VERY accurate ! for 600 bucks best priced rifle with 1000 yard + capabilities

Love this rifle! I mounted a Vortex HST 6-24x50 on this when I got it and was hitting steel at 800 yards once sighted in. This rifle is amazing considering the price point. The trigger is light and crisp. No need to make any modifications. The threaded barrel and box magazine are a nice touch and a step up from my previous hunting rifle. Overall, a great rifle if you aren't looking to break the bank.

Very pleased with this rifle. Not so much with it out of the box. The bolt was pretty gritty and had some feeding issues in the beginning. After around 50 rnd thing started to smooth up and it’s pretty darn good now. Shoots 1/2” with handloads easily. Lotta rifle for the money!
