There is a difference between bore sighted and zeroed, bore sighted (which is what this combo is) is to get you on paper and will help you use less rounds to get it zeroed. Even if it was zeroed at the factory you'd still need to check and likely adjust the zero for your specific ammo and distances you'd be shooting at, you probably already knew that, but at least one of the people answering this question did not.

Using Winchester BST 95gr it was driving tacks at 100yds and only took 3 shots to zero. Great gun for the money!

Nice looking combo. My granddaughter's boyfriend bought one of these and loved the gun but the scope was terrible. Savage has since went to Weaver scopes and this one is really good. Clear and able to zoom without losing the ability of getting a full view. Gun shoots great with excellent accuracy.

Bought a Savage Axis .243 it arrived within 1 week and everything was in excellent condition. The only complaint is it would be nice if the would tighten the screws up on the scope and mounts.
