Most of us can not afford the majority of long range precision rifles on the market today. Especially after you pay for an optic to complete your package. The Howa Legacy package is going to surprise you in a number of ways. 1). Price is an outstanding value for a complete package. Other than ammo, you’re ready to head out to the range, and; 2). The accuracy is going to astound you. Mine is a .308 Win and was delivering sub MOA results at 100 yds on day one. 3). It is a .308 and not a.22, but the Howa pkg at a little over 12 lbs is very user friendly to the shoulder. If you find yourself looking to enter competitive shooting as a result of this purchase, you’ll probably want to upgrade the scope and bipod at some point. But out of the box, it is fully functional and a delight to shoot. To me, this is by far the best out of the box rifle trigger I have ever fired.

I purchased the Howa several years ago and really like this .308. This is my second Howa .308 and the action is smooth and crisp. I may eventually change out the chassis for an MDT or Oryx chassis.

The rifle is awesome. Well made and sturdy. However the Buds Gun Shop packed the wrong caliber magazine. They were quick to respond after I started a ticket, but as soon as I told them that the rifle is already in my home (out of the store), they stopped all communications. All I needed was to have the right cal. magazine shipped to me and I return the wrong one. I guess they got paid so they don't care any more.

How are HCR is a great rifle have absolutely no complaints. Will make a couple of minor changes tune it up and maybe change out the trigger sometime down the road.
Cordova financial beware beware beware beware it is not financing! It is not a loan it is a lease and you will get screwed. It is a scam! If you finance 1400 you owe 2800 if you don’t pay it off in the first 60/90 days.

This is a great product. Its very comfortable to use after you figure out your adjustments. Awesome scope. And fairly accurate out of the box(at least mine was). The trigger is perfect not too light but just heavy enough to be smooth. Ive shot several different rounds and its kinda picky. You will be fine with a mid-grade round but mine does not like the cheap stuff what so ever. I really hope this helps someone else make a choice on this rifle. Well worth it in my opinion.
