  Fred, it has two sling studs. One at the end of the grip that your talking about and one at the end of the magazine tube. So you can add a two point sling or one point sling, whichever you prefer. Hope this helps
• Q: what kind of ammo works best for the shockwave 410 birdshot?

  This will handle all sorts of ammo. Slugs, birdshot, 3 inch shells, 2.5 inch shells, pretty much whatever you throw at it it'll function with. Hope this helps.

• Q: Wondering if a 410 would have sufficient stopping power for home defense. Ladies in the house are afraid to shoot 12 ga and not sure of 20 ga. Pretty sure they can handle the 410 if it will meet needs. Also recommended ammo for same.

  Get out to let her shoot a box or two of whatever round you choose to get her as comfortable as possible holding, loading and racking the firearm. Just have her shoot from the hip would be my recommendation.

• Q: How does the Honcho compare to the Shockwave?? It seems that Buds will only sell the .410 Shockwave to "Team Buds Members"???

  Jeff, Almost same firearm. Mossberg customer service better then Chiappa. Different features like all synthetic furniture and spring assist pump on Honcho. Wood corn cob pump handle and birds head grip on Shockwave. For the price vs value I would buy the Shockwave if I wanted this type of firearm.

• Q: So I call SC SLED about my question regarding carrying my loaded shockwave in my car. SLED rep told me I had to cal SC ATF. I called them and was told they didn’t know either, and that I needed to call SC highway patrol Law Enforcement. I called SC HWP LE and was told to call back to SC SLED and ask for Regulatory Dept. So I called and was told they couldn’t answer that question, but I needed to call SCCWP Regulatory and wat old by SCCWP Regulatory to call the FBI. LOL I still don’t know!

  Cynthia, this is very surprising and utterly ridiculous to tell you the truth. I am in NC and your SC Laws practically mirrors NC's. I carry legally and keep an AR Pistol in my vehicle and a Pistol on my person at all times. My Sheriff was able to answer this similar question many years back, so I don't understand the problem SC's finest is having answering this for you. All I can say is don't give up Lady.

• Q: Am I crazy or is there a 2 3/4" .410 ga? It states it holds 6 rounds, is that 2 1/2" or 3" or both?
