As usual, Buds service was quick and they delivered a good product. Regarding the pistol, it is perfect and functions great. Be sure to clean the preservative from the cylinder bores to get the rounds to seat properly.

First off buds got this gun sent off fast! Then went to the range with a galco combat master owb holster. And shot three hundred rounds half and half 38 special plus p and 357 magnums. Not one problem the pistol is true to its name! With its modern features you will enjoy this revolver. No need to baby it with 38 special feed it magnums and it will eat them all day! Great gun! You won’t be so disappointed!

She is a looker. That is for sure. I fired my first 100 rounds through the gun yesterday. I was very pleased with how the gun performed. I found it to be very accurate. The only issue I had with the gun is that for the screw that holds the cylinder in, when I tried to remove it (to clean the gun before shooting it), Smith and Wesson had put what I think is lock tight on the screw, making it very had to remove. I ended up damaging the screw a tiny bit, but after soaking it in lube for several hours I was finally able to remove the screw. I'm not sure why Smith and Wesson would do that to a screw meant to be removed. But, after that drama, going to the range and shooting the gun was a very good experience.

The wood grips' fit/finish was less than desired. The cylinder had a very tight lockup and was very hard to open. I loaded it with SnapCaps and worked the action extensively and it loosened up. Very accurate and well balanced. Had to sand the edges of the grips as S&W appeared to have missed the fine sanding. Other than those 2 things it performs flawlessly.

This is a magnificent enhanced version of the Model 19 that I carried daily for most of my thirty-five years in law enforcement. With my recent purchase of this gun for home protection, I felt like I had been reunited with an old friend. With arthritis complications in my hands and wrists, I realized that racking the slide on an automatic and loading 9MM bullets into the clip had become exceedingly difficult. I made the conscious decision to revert back to that which I was most familiar with and that with which I had always experienced a degree of excellence during annual qualifications. The weight, balance, and sights can help make even a novice shooter feel most comfortable as it contributes so positively to one's accuracy and confidence. To help increase its shooting capacity, I keep several loaded speed loaders close at hand to compensate for the loss of rounds over the automatic and just in case six rounds fail to get the job done. While I do have magnum loads available, to reduce some of the recoil while losing little, if any, fire power, I keep the weapon and speed loaders loaded with .38 Special +P ammunition.

I bought this for my dad. He loves the old model 19's. He loves this new one more and refuses to carry anything else.

Love this gun. S&W quality. Accurate and reliable. One of my favorites. Does well with 357 & 38 spl +P. Great finish. Fits my hard perfectly.
