Looking to swap the stock, but to do that I need a pistol grip as well. I would just buy a Vepr-12 grip but the Vepr's bolt release is in the trigger guard where this one is behind it. Any recommendations on what pistol grips would fit and not impede the use of the bolt release?

Rob, They both have AK Actions and should be cross compatible.

Even though the stock is attached to the pistol grip, it should still be considered a pistol grip. So unfortunately, it doesn't look like would not be compliant in NJ. But the best way to confirm that would be to check with your local FFL's and see what they say, an argument could be made that it is basically the same as a "thumbhole" stock.

Damion, As long as you keep the 5 round magazine this shotgun is NJ compliant. Also the stock being attached to grip clears your prohibited pistol grip ------------- The following are prohibited: ✘ A semi-automatic shotgun with either a magazine capacity exceeding six rounds, a folding stock or a pistol grip.

Buds was great as always, shipped on time, no issues. I'm not experienced with the AK platform so I'm still getting used to it. Big , heavy, controls a bit stiff, but it runs well, and recoil light for a 12 gauge.

First impressions; I am simply in love with this shotgun, it’s sexy, tactical and customizable. I’ve already ordered a new buttstock, and red dot optic. The gun itself appears to be very solid. I haven’t shot it yet, but I’m looking forward to doing that soon. I’ll follow up with another review after I put some rounds through it.

I absolutely love my new RS-S1! This is a powerful gun and very fun to shoot! Folks will ask about it as well. I bought it new and right away it fired without issue and sights were accurate. I really enjoy scrolling through Bud's website, it's simple and easy to navigate. When I can across the RS-S1 on the site it was very simple to purchase and the mailing and tracking information provided by Bud's keep me excited until it arrived at my neighborhood gun shop. This is a copy of the Saiga IZ-433 030 which I own for the exception of threaded barrel and furniture. But, this retains the gas block rail. It’s every bit as reliable as the saiga it copies. A+++

Whether you just want a reliable firearm or a badass shotgun just for fun like me I HIGHLY recommend buying this. Lowest price for this online and speedy shipping with tracking number. Just broke it in with 100 rounds of assorted ammo from bird/buck/slug ZERO issues. I’ve heard Semi-auto shotguns are picky with Low recoil ammo but I didn’t have any issues with feeding / F2F with any 1 1/8oz 3 dram. Bottom line I absolutely love this thing, it’s an absolute deal. So much fun!
