Excellent purchase. A very well-balanced and handling weapon.
Smooth action and comfortable to fire.
Accurate beyond description. Put holes in holes at 20 ft.
Couldn't be happier with a concealed side-arm.

Arrived in good condition and in a reasonable time, especially given our situation.
Fits great.
I haven't had a chance to fire it yet since all the ranges are shut down.

In the midst of this current global pandemic, I made this purchase of a Springfield Armory XD-S MOD2 9mm (sub-compact). Fantastic conceal carry weapon. Not too heavy for everyday carry and has a trim profile to wear inside your pants. My purchase processed quickly to my local gun retailer, and the following day I payed a transfer fee and took possession of the firearm. It comes in a sturdy black hard plastic carrying case, and includes two magazines. One holds nine rounds and extends the pistol grip to allow space for your pinky finger; the other magazine holds seven rounds and fits flush. A gun lock is also included in the box. Great purchase, and really appreciate the Bud's Team and Mike's Guns & Archery in Frankfort for making it happen.

Buds gets 2 stars on this purchase. It took 7 hours to place my order and 14 days to receive. My order wouldn't go through so I called Buds CS. After 35 min on hold I spoke to a woman who put me on hold for another 20 min. After returning to my call she informed that the "system was down", she couldn't place my order and to try again in a half an hour. I spent the next 5 hours waiting and trying to place my order. I finally gave up trying and called CS again. After another 25 min on hold I spoke to a very helpful young man , I think his name was William. He said he hadn't heard anything about the system being down and he would place my order for me. He quickly found the problem , corrected it and placed my order. The woman CS rep just didn't want to deal with the problem. I am a long time Buds customer and have previously always had good transactions with them. Now the Springfield Armory XDS mod 2 9mm with night sights. Fired 200 rounds without problem, very accurate. Used IMI 115 grain die cut JHP. These rounds have a zig zag nose that made my CZ Scorpion choke repeatedly. The sights are very nice with tritium surrounded by a phosphorescent green ring and black u notch rear sight. Feed ramp was highly polished and the trigger while decent to begin with smoothed out noticeably after 200 rounds. Grip was very comfortable and the grip safety (my first) was not an issue in any way. Take down is easy and intuitive. This is my first SA firearm and I am very impressed with design and execution. I like my Glock but feel the XDS mod2 is better built and designed. I am very pleased with my XDS Mod 2 9mm!

Received the pistol yesterday, have had my eye on the Mod 2 XD-2 since the 45 came out and have been waiting for the 9mm. Ordered pistol and was slower than normal delivery as it was coming from a third party vendor. In any case the pistol came with no issues, large XD box, 2 mags, pistol and papers, gun oil and lock. No holster with this pistol although the box was large enough for one plus a couple boxes of ammo. i am going to shoot the pistol tomorrow and I am not expecting any issues with function. That said, I chose the night sights, Pro-Glo™ Tritium/Luminescent Front & Tactical Rack Serrated Rear and I should have paid closer attention as the rear 'Tactical Rack Serrated" is not a night sight, it is just a black slab that while in daylight seems to line up fine with the front night sight I am wondering how I would aim and shoot in the dark accurately? I need to do a bit more research on this and training with the pistol but if you are not aware of this arrangement You may want to check one out in local shop prior to laying your money down. Giving 4 out of 5 stars due to the surprise with the sights.
