Definitely a good choice for a duty gun. Competition guns...well, it depends on how much you practice with it. If you master your weapon then it will be a great competitor.

It would be okay for IDPA and a duty gun. The trigger would be the only limiting factor. after all the controversy with Sig's Drop Test (where the firearm will discharge a round in the chamber if dropped at a certain angle) will this variant be compliant with that fix?

Sebastian, Depending on date of manufacture. It appears these are post 2018 models with updates. If not just call Sig with Serial Number. They will let you know if it has upgrades or should be sent in for voluntary upgrade.

YES Sig Sauer P250, P320 9mm 10-Round Magazine

Bud's will not alter firearms (including swapping magazines) to make a firearm compliant. I wouldn't be surprised if Sig offered a 10 round version eventually, they do this for all of their other models.

The P320-M17 is a 9mm, striker-fired pistol.
