The Ruger Redhawk 44 Rem Mag features dual chambering that also accepts
factory .44 special cartridges. The rugged stainless steel construction
with no side plates, is designed specifically to handle powerful magnum
loads through extra metal in top strap, sidewalls and barrel mounting,
while the cold hammer-forged sleeve and shroud barrel provides
outstanding accuracy. Triple-locking cylinder is locked into the frame
at the front, rear and bottom for more positive alignment and dependable
operation shot after shot. Single-spring mechanism allows for a smooth,
light trigger pull. Easy sighting with readily replaceable, insert
front blade sight and adjustable rear sight with white outline. Patented
transfer bar mechanism provides an unparalleled measure of security
against accidental discharge.

Great woods gun, barrel is long enough for handgun hunting.

My redhawk's fit and finish was slightly lacking. There were still some burrs left on the gun that I smoothed myself. Other than that, the wood handle looks good and fits the gun well. It eats whatever I feed it. Seriously. Even my Buffalo Bore p seems like it was meant for the gun. The recoil is manageable enough, because this gun is so heavy, and it is more accurate than I am. I do like the gun, I just wish that Ruger's quality control was a little better.

Best price bar none! I looked high and low for a better deal and it didn't exist. Shipping took a few days to get out the door, but no big deal.
