Excellent revolver! I have a 44 made by T and S. The Redhawk is built substantially stronger than either. It's a big revolver, but this helps keep down the recoil. The S seems to be more delicate next to the Redhawk. If I could only have one, I'd probably go with the Redhawk, it'll last a lifetime. With full house loads, you know it's a 44 magnum. With 44 special, it shoots like a 38 spl. If you reload, you can make this a pleasure to shoot.

Wish Ruger still made these! One tough revolver. Being a die hard S&W fan for 40 yrs thats hard to type. But? Is what it is. I cant see a need to put Buffalo Bore thru anything honestly, since 10mm is the new .44 Magnum basically. I prefer a Model 29, I've had 3 of these, first 2 had to be SENT BACK TO RUGER for just poor quality control. Made in USA isnt what it once was. Ask a HONDA owner-

Great gun! Kinda hard to keep clean. Minimal surface rust on the chamber when it arrived. Wiped right off. Performance wise this things is a beast but the recoil is lees than expected. So, good design by Ruger. Buds is great!

This is a big gun. and well built. easily handles the heaviest of 44 loads. grips are very comfortable even with those hot rounds. great revolver.

Very nice gun, no issues so far firing it. Problem I have is there where several scratches on it, and overall finish was very poorly done the hand grip was also damaged The way my ffl does it is I fill out the paperwork first then gives me the gun. I will not do it this way again. Sent it to Ruger and they refinished it and replaced the grip. Took about 4 weeks The gun came back and finish is just barely acceptable. Still some minor cosmetic issues but not worth the time to send it back again For the price, very unacceptable QC disappointed with Ruger on this one

I bought for bear protection and the quality is outstanding.

I looked everywhere for this gun other shops including gunbroker. BUDS was the cheapest price for a now gun out of all of them look forward to doing business with them in the future super nice people to deal with
