Many light primer strikes with various factory brands of .45 ACP ammo fired using 3 different brands of full moon clips: (Ruger, TK Custom, Speed Bees.) I need to send this revolver back to Ruger. It is the most expensive gun I own and it is the most unreliable (with the .45 ACP ammo). The rounds that did not fire had shallow dents on the primers. These dented rounds all fired in other .45 ACP caliber guns & ammo from the same boxes fired fine in other .45 ACP caliber guns. Positive things are: it seems to fire .45 Colt ammo fine but I have not fired much of that caliber in it. SAFARILAND Comp 1 speed loaders (model J-S5) that are advertised as fitting the .44 Magnum caliber S&W N Frame, Colt Anaconda & Ruger Redhawk revolvers work fine with .45 Colt ammo and work with the stock wooden grips. BIANCHI SPEED STRIPS in .45 Colt work fine & can be carried nicely on the belt with Leonard (leather) Speed Strip Pouches. The Azula pancake holster works fine & allows for concealable carry. It is leather, open top with no retention straps and has a reinforced top for EZ reholstering. This new gun was very dry out of the box and needed oil. It did not sound good when dry fired or when the hammer was cocked. It sounded like unlubricated metal parts were scratching. After oiling all the moving parts it was much smoother & quieter to dry fire, cock the hammer, open the cylinder & use the ejector rod. The double action trigger feels smooth. Single action is not as nice as other revolvers but works ok & does not affect the accuracy. Accuracy with .45 ACP ammo seemed ok and no sight adjustment was needed. I am only giving it a single star rating because I bought it to fire .45 ACP ammo and it does not work reliably with it.

I purchased this firearm back in February and am very pleased with it. I love the versatility of using either .45 ACP (With Moon Clips) or .45 Colt. Buds as usually did an excellent job getting the firearm shipped and delivered in a timely manner. If you love shooting .45 revolvers, you will definitely love this one!

I really like this gun. It feels good and the hand although the trigger is not as good as a S&W. It could be intentionally designed that way. Overall I’d recommend the gun as a good piece for revolver fun. Also being able to shoot ACP and 45 colt is coo.

Great revolver, at 20 yards I shot three round groups touching each other shooting long Colt reloads. 45 ACP shot well too. I fired lead, round ball, hollow points through it with good accurately. Tight lockup of cylinder. Love the grip and it's form to the hand. Barrel length is just right for carry. It's built like a tank and will handle my T/C / Black Hawk power loads with ease. Last pull both double and single I found fine. Double action I say was exceptional.
