The classic American-style rimfire rifle, the 457 has a 24.8" barrel with no sights and is meant to be topped with a scope. Its Turkish walnut stock has a high, flat comb and a classic checkering pattern. Like all of our 457's, it has an 11mm dovetail milled into the top of its receiver for attaching scope ring/mounts. In addition to the receiver-mounted, push-to-fire safety, we chopped almost an inch of length from the action and slab-sided it to reduce its footprint and weight. The 455 and the same reliable polymer magazine system, the 457 is without a doubt the best rimfire platform weve ever fielded.

Great rifle! Shoots sub moa! Love the Woodstock, bolt is smooth. Arrived in 3 days! Overall, great rifle for the money. CZ makes some great firearms.

Nice looking gun. Stock is a little too dark for my taste but checkering is perfect. Great fit and finish.

Just about perfect. Fit is spot on. Finish, I found one diamond in the checkering that is chipped. You wouldn’t see it without a glass. And the walnut is dark but beautiful, fiddleback with contrasting stripping. I’d prefer a 20-22 inch barrel, not 24; but the finish is blemish free. Crown well done. Short throw bolt is smooth. Safety moves securely with right amount of resistance and secure detents. This is an impressive rifle. The magazine is polymer, plastic, but fits securely, without movement. It’s been a long time since I received such a well done gun of any kind at any price. I’ll report shooting results later. But this is a good beginning.

i AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE CZ 457 RIFLE THAT iI PURCHASED. IT IS A GREAT ADULT 22 AND THE EXCELLENT SHOOTER THAT I EXPECTED AND HOPE IT WOULD BE.

Totally satisfied with the 457 and Buds service. I am late to getting this review posted, have sent thousands of rounds downrange and the only bullets it does not shoot well is 60gr, Aquila.

great rifle very accurate Cz as always does not disappoint I’ve been buying their rifles for years and have not yet had one that was not extremely accurate this rifle shot great with most ammo but match grade ammo was producing laser like accuracy the safety location is great I did buy some of the metal magazines to go with the rifle as I was not sure of the longevity but after 3000+ rounds the plastic mags show little wear

I really like this rifle. Except for the trigger. It started at 4.5lbs and I got her down to 3lbs. That is as low as the adjustment will go. "For me ", that is still waaaay to heavy even for hunting. The checkering is great. Metal to wood fit is perfect. Though I lucked out and got a highly figured piece of lumber I can't really see it except in bright sunlight because it is stained so dark. I haven't taken her to the range yet. Not till I get the trigger right. So I can't say how she shoots?

Here is what you need to read about this gun. My son was shooting it at practice for the Shooting team, he could not shoot a good group. So I said let me have a try. As I was getting ready, to fire the first shot, a fly landed on the target. As My son watched through the spotting scope, I shot the fly. I told him there was nothing wrong with the gun.
