The classic American-style rimfire rifle, the 457 has a 24.8" barrel with no sights and is meant to be topped with a scope. Its Turkish walnut stock has a high, flat comb and a classic checkering pattern. Like all of our 457's, it has an 11mm dovetail milled into the top of its receiver for attaching scope ring/mounts. In addition to the receiver-mounted, push-to-fire safety, we chopped almost an inch of length from the action and slab-sided it to reduce its footprint and weight. The 455 and the same reliable polymer magazine system, the 457 is without a doubt the best rimfire platform weve ever fielded.

Totally satisfied with the 457 and Buds service. I am late to getting this review posted, have sent thousands of rounds downrange and the only bullets it does not shoot well is 60gr, Aquila.

great rifle very accurate Cz as always does not disappoint I’ve been buying their rifles for years and have not yet had one that was not extremely accurate this rifle shot great with most ammo but match grade ammo was producing laser like accuracy the safety location is great I did buy some of the metal magazines to go with the rifle as I was not sure of the longevity but after 3000+ rounds the plastic mags show little wear

I really like this rifle. Except for the trigger. It started at 4.5lbs and I got her down to 3lbs. That is as low as the adjustment will go. "For me ", that is still waaaay to heavy even for hunting. The checkering is great. Metal to wood fit is perfect. Though I lucked out and got a highly figured piece of lumber I can't really see it except in bright sunlight because it is stained so dark. I haven't taken her to the range yet. Not till I get the trigger right. So I can't say how she shoots?

Here is what you need to read about this gun. My son was shooting it at practice for the Shooting team, he could not shoot a good group. So I said let me have a try. As I was getting ready, to fire the first shot, a fly landed on the target. As My son watched through the spotting scope, I shot the fly. I told him there was nothing wrong with the gun.

This is a quality firearm. I had a 3-9 40mm scope not being used that I mounted with Taley low rings which just cleared the barrel. In very little time at the range I was shooting 3/4 " groups at 50 yards with CCI range ammo. The rifle feels good to hold, and is made with all steel components, and nice furniture exuding a classic feel with top drawer accuracy. Reminded me of a fifties Remington 511 I shot in matches as a kid, except more accurate. Only negative was the one 5 round mag included. Had to buy several CZ expensive 10 rounders. The mags look like a cheap polymer items but work flawlessly and smoothly, so looks are deceiving. Not the cheapest 22 bolt, but you really get what you pay for in this beauty.
