More accurate than I. Pristine trigger and smoothest feeding bolt action rimfire I have come across. Xtra mags can be hard to come by.

This is my first impression, since I have not fired it yet. But I chose the CZ 457 because of its great reputation so I'm not expecting any problems. First, it's a beautiful little gun. I was not really sure whether it would have a wood or synthetic stock because of some conflicting descriptions, but it is in fact a really nice dark wood stock (color is very different than in the image on this listing). I got the Scout model because I wanted a compact bolt action rifle (with built in sights) to eventually use with a suppressor. Personally I like short stocks, and I also compress my AR stocks as small as I can. Everything about this rifle is 'quality.' No machining problems or scratches in the wood or anything. Just perfect. The action is nice, smooth, and quick: the bolt does not have to rotate very far or go back very far so you can easily work the bolt while keeping a sight picture. Note that it doesn't come with a magazine (just a one-shot adapter thingy). I have been looking for magazines and they don't seem to be that easy to find (and are not cheap)... I hope it will not be a problem, but it's something to think about. Anyway, this is a great option if you are looking for a quality compact .22lr bolt-action rifle.

This rifle has met expectations and then some. This is the second 457 I have purchased. These are very accurate rifles and are not finicky with ammo. Quality is superb. Great job CZ!

Bought this rifle for my son and it is a solid little rifle. Not built like a toy like make rimfire these days. Very impressed with the 457.

The Cz 457 is by far the best bolt action rimfire available. This youth sized Scout is my favorite of all their offerings. I wanted something compact & light in .22lr and I got it. There is no limit to how you can customize a 457 but this one will stay in its stock configuration. I don’t have any kids at the time of this review so I can’t say how they like it lol. Excellent little rifle. Highly recommended. Be aware this does not come with a mag but instead a single shot adapter/ dummy mag. If you don’t already have some 455 or 457 mags then you will want to purchase a couple.

Beautiful rifle. Smooth action nice sights and awesome craftsmanship. Would expect no less from CZ. First rifle for my 10 year old. He loves it.

Bought the 457 Scout for my son to learn to shoot on. Couldn't be happier. Fit and finish are 2nd to none. Almost unbelievable trigger out of the box. Very crisp, nice even break, no creep. Stock is on the darker side of the representative pictures but I liked that better. Considering purchasing another so I can have one too. I have not seen anything else in this price range ~$350 that even comes close. Oh yeah, it's very accurate!

Another fine CZ product,iron sights were dead on as with all other CZ's I have purchased,longgun or handgun.Good dealing with Buds as always.
