The Precision Trainer was designed to provide the same look and feel as a full-size tactical rifle while allowing for more economical training. Though the golden days of cheap and plentiful 22 LR ammo may be behind us, the Precision Trainer has become more popular than we ever could have imagined. Based off the PRS1 stock, this special Manners carbon-fiber composite stock provides a rock-solid platform and is finished in a three color camouflage pattern with a base of carbon fiber peeking through the background. The stock itself has multiple layers of carbon fiber and fiberglass. Combined with our cold hammer forged Varmint barrel, threaded 1/2x28. In addition to the receiver-mounted, push-to-fire safety, we chopped almost an inch of length from the action and slab-sided it to reduce its footprint and weight. The same reliable polymer magazine system.

Bought this rifle as a short range precision .22LR competition build project. This CZ 457 has proven to be everything I had heard and read about. With the addition of good glass, trigger adjustment, and in the hands of a steady shooter, this rifle is dead on accurate. Delivers 5 shot, 1/4" holes @35 yds, plus deadly on squirrel heads to 100 yds so far. Coming in at 7 lbs plus after adding glass, the CZ 457 is a hand full to carry hunting, but well worth the effort!

Sold my CZ455 Varmit and immediately missed it. So...decided to buy the CZ457 VPT in the Manners stock. First day after a little clean up shot 1/2 inch groups easily with the stock varmit barrel with SK Rifle Match. Then decided to install a Lilja 20" stainless steel precision bull barrel. Again shot SK Rifle match but this time shot .25-.40 groups! While not cheap the rifle shoots like my Anshutz for a tad less (not much though).
