Unfortunately this one wont work with the drum. Straight from the manufacturer... Will NOT fit Thompson M1 models (Military version of Thompson-If it has a side charging handle then it is an Thompson M1 Model). This is a m1 model so unfortunately it wont fit. Sorry but hope this helps.

It is not showing one way or the other whether it does or not. Since there you received conflicting answers on this, I would suggest checking with Auto Ordnance directly at TEL: 508-795-3919.
