With Defensive loads the gun handles it well however the hot rounds induce what I can only call trigger bite.Note: With
1200fps loads this thing will make you trigger finger fell like a dog just bit it. Moral of the story it is a great gun especially
for the price! I would highly recommend this for conceal carry or a back up gun. As always Bud's is top notch!

I bought this for my wife, however after 2 shots she said the recoil hurt her hand.
As for me....I actually don't mind the recoil, It is very accurate for a small pistol.
I put it in my rotation as an edc.
This is a great summer carry gun due to the size and weight, and if you can't hit something within the 7 rounds it holds....go with something bigger.

Solid gun, a bit snappy but it is light. Haven't had a problem yet but don't have many rounds thru it yet. Mag release is hard but I have a feeling it will loosen up with more use. So far so good

While nice and compact (nearly identical to a LCPII and fits in most of their holsters) and bring a 9mm in such a small footprint it has its issues... This being the Gen4 it is p rated! I was estatic to get a 9mm to replace my pocket 380! But there are serious flaws the biggest issue I had was mags dropping during firing! Did some experimenting and it was not me doing it. The gen4 went to a captured spring away from the dual spring of previous gens... This single spring is not as effective as slowing the slide down and would come back so fast as to not only launch the fired brass into orbit but also warp the frame and drop the magazine! After back and forth with the factory they said it was the trigger mechanism! Doubtful... After loosing all confidence in this gun it has since moved along. Sad that a problem they had previously fixed has been reintroduced... Honestly I can not recommend this flawed product to anyone.

Great new addition to my collection. Recoil is absolutely manageable for 13 oz pocket pistol. This little gun is perfect, light, concealable and extremely comfortable in the hand. When I researched it initially, I didn't hear/read to much about the recoil spring, but it is very stiff and it's hard to rack the slide when magazine is full. Beware of that as it might be uncomfortable for some shooters but it comes with the territory. If you had any doubts on reliability don't. Diamondback has come a long way from its 1st generation. I shot roughly 75-100 without any issues. In fact I was shooting an 92FS along this little guy with the same ammo (range) and constantly had issue with the Beretta but not a single one with this DB9. Well spent $ 220.

This is basically a 380 pistol that shoots 9mm . Its the only 9 I can pocket carry. After two range sessions I have had no malfunctions of any kind. It has fed all ammo including hollow points up to 147gr. It's accurate at self defense distances. The only downside is it hurts to shoot it, especially with heavy loads. I have found it tolerable with 115gr ammo. It's rated for plus P but can't imagine anyone wanting to shoot them in this little gun. I will be carrying it often. As always Bud's service was outstanding!

DB9 gen 4: I wanted to like it. Pros: upgraded trigger, cycled Federal 150 gr ball brass, Winchester 147 gr ball steel, Ficcoci 124 gr ball brass and 124 gr ball Sellot & M. It would not cycle Federal HST 147 gr hollow points. Its rated 9mm P, but firing normal power rounds are hard to control with rapid fire due to its light weight and lack of enough hand grip to adequately control firing. My hands and the db9 gen 4 do not allow proper trigger reach and control. Fits large shirt pockets, blue gene pockets like your hoped it would. Trigger pull pinched my finger every time I fired it. Racking the slide is extremely heavy even though it has deep grip groves. I have healthy strength in my hands and still found racking the slide very uncomfortable. Not sure at all its reliable in a SHTF situation. It locked open when firing last round. Trigger is hinged from two points an upgrade from gen 1-3. Pinky grip extension helps with more control. BOTTOM LINE. IT IS FOR SALE. Dwight Cunningham

After inspection, Cleaned and lubed, Ran 100 rounds of 115gr win white box, no hiccups ran 25 rounds of 9mm NATO (Hotter). Snappy recoil with the NATO rounds similar to defensive +P ammo tried 5 rounds of Barnes Tac XP although said +P on box they were not snappy. they were very accuate. will continue trying different SD loads will be a BUG next month

This is actually A DB9 Gen4. The product description does not state what generation it is so I just wanted to clarify that to any prospective buyers. That being said there was a LOT (and I mean a LOT) of back and forth between myself customer service and the on line forum as to weather or not this was a gen 3 or 4, customer service did not know what generation it was but the good folks on the forum assured me it was indeed a gen4 so I made the purchase. I want to thank everyone in customer service for hearing my concerns and coming through and delivering, it is indeed a gen4. Since I received it I took it out back and ran a "test fire" with three magazines 115 FMJ brass cased ammo. The first magazine +1 in the chamber (7) no problem loading feeding or firing on all three magazines and the slide locked back every time. I must say this is a great improvement over the gen3 that I sold to acquire this latest rendition of an already great pocket firearm. So in closing I must say I highly recommend this weapon, its simply awesome and the price point can't be beat. I also want to thank everyone on the forum and the people in customer service for addressing my concerns, namely the customer service supervisor Delilah and then Scottie.
