Excellent hunting shotgun, smooth, easy, break open, average trigger pull. Perfect gauge and size for all day carry, all chokes included. I love the 16 gauge so much that I don't use my 12s anymore. Am going to upgrade to an even better 16 gauge soon.

This is a great little O/U, bought it specifically for upland birds but have found it to be quite a good fit for the cotton tails as well. The 555 is very light and quick to shoulder, and the recoil is very manageable. This model doesn’t have the auto ejectors which is great for the field when only taking one shot, easy to remove the spent shell without having to try to stop the live one from being ejected as well. As always, Buds was easy to shop with, very efficient, and quick shipping.

The experience with Buds was great, smooth as silk transaction!
This 555 is amazingly light! Nice quality, the wood looks awesome, and it point better than any shotgun ive shouldered. I like a 16 ga, and I got this for small game hunting like squirrel, rabbit, and dove. It comes with 5 standard chokes so unless you need a special choke you get all you need. Bottom line, Great gun @ a great price from a great dealer....The 555 28 ga is next on my list!

So far I have only shot a few rounds of trap and sporting clays, the shotgun has worked very well and seems reliable. Although the shotgun is made in Turkey the fit and finish are good, what I like best is its light weight. As usual Bud's had a competitive price and the service was good, also I commend Bud's for still having staff to answer the phone and answer questions, unlike other dealers who no longer answer the phone and blame it on Covid 19, which is a bunch of bull.

Really like the gun, very light and shoots good. The only problem I have is the only chokes you can use in the 16 gauge is the ones that come with it, someone needs to produce aftermarket chokes.

My son wanted a 16 gauge for his duck hunting exploits. Since the boy is not employed (law school student) and his Mom thinks the boy should get anything he wants for Christmas, I bought this STEVENS 555 O/U. I know the Stevens product is a good one. I was wanting the newer 555 model but it was not available.
This 555 model is a good gun and Buds pricing was the best of the 3 places I searched. I also looked at a couple of local gun shops and Buds pricing beat their hair off.
The delivery and transfer process went perfectly. The boy will be using the gun in a couple of days in that cold weather that duck hunters seem to enjoy so much.
