Colt King Cobra 357 Magnum Revolver - 6 Rounds, 3" Barrel, Rubber Grips, Stainless/Silver, 2-Dot Sights

This has been my favorite revolver to shoot to date, it's so smooth and has had zero problems. I mostly fire it in double action, it's so smooth I hardly even think to fire it in single action especially for shooting 38 special. Handles 357 really well too. It's a great gun to have in your carry rotation!

For fans of the concealable revolver, the 3" Colt King Cobra is a winner. Its modern and slick single/double action is superb, out of the box. No need for a gunsmith to lighten and smooth things, as with competitive DA revolvers. Colt's stainless finish is beautiful. The 3" model carries well in S&W K holsters designed for the 2 1/2" Model 19 and similar. Holster companies have not offered many options for the new King Cobras, to date. Still, the King offers .357 punch in a highly concealable and comfortable frame. Magnum recoil is not abusive. The front brass sight bead is not for everyone. It is easily replaced with a fiber optic factory blade, much improving visibility. Its installation is simple and can be performed by anyone. Unfortunately, all of the recently reintroduced Colt snakes are commanding a high MSRP. As always, Bud's pricing is reasonable in today's gun market.

It's kind of upsetting. Trigger is crisp, lockup is nice and solid. Overall the finish isn't on par with a $900 revolver. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Handles hotter ammo really well because of the weight. The rubber grip that comes on it is actually very nice makes managing the recoil as well as the trigger a breeze.

So glad I "pulled the trigger" and got this. The action is buttery smooth, trigger is a bit heavy in DA, SA is very light, it doesn't feel like the 4 lbs people say it is. 357 has a nice kick to it, as to be expected, but not too bad. You hardly feel anything with .38 Special +P. Probably has to do with the metal frame, it does add weight to it. All in all, great gun and now my primary conceal carry. Mine arrived missing the front sight which I didn't realize until I got it home and actually took it out of the plastic bag it was in inside the case. Had powder marks on all cylinders also. Called right away but told since I didn't inspect it closer in the store nothing they can do. Not going to keep it.

Great firearm! Very accurate. Feels great in my hands. Haven't had a revolver for a while and I will have this for a long time!!
