Was looking to buy my first 22lr pistol. The CP33 caught my attention and is it ever possibly the most exiting small caliber pistol I've ever shot.

Such a great firearm and a wonderful platform for upgrades as well. It takes a few tries to load the magazines. However, with an "American Speedloader" the task becomes seemless. Threaded barrel accepts 1/2-28 easily. The picatinny rail holds about any site that you have in mind for this. I put on a Vortex Crossfire. Fine tuned the red dot in and it is now a tack driver. I only use high velocity .22 rounds in this pistol. No FTF or FTE issues ever. The sub-sonic rounds will cycle as well. If you can grab one of these highly coveted pistols I recommend it. Bite the bullet and buy this! Buds is the only dealer I found to have any.

Bud's process was flawless. Outstanding service and competitive prices. The firearm, a Kel-Tec CNC CP33BLK CP33 .22 LR SEMI-AUTOMATIC handgun, is one fine piece of machinery. Out of the box, the sights were spot on. If I was allowed to post a photo, it would have been of the target where a single hole in the CENTER of the bullseye is wonderfully evident. I could have packed up my gear and left the range right after that first shot and been a happy man. (But I stayed and ran a hundred rounds through it anyway.)
Here are some observations:
1. The operator absolutely MUST pay attention when loading the magazine. The mags are transparent for a reason. Read the instructions and comply or you *will* suffer jams. This is NOT a problem with the firearm. It is simply a characteristic of loading rimfire cartridges into a double-stack magazine. When done according to instructions, everything just works.
2. The takedown and cleaning procedure may require the operator to use a pin punch. The book simply mentioned "...remove assembly pin..." and moves on. It mentions a "small pointed object may be necessary to start the pin out..." but a right sized punch will preserve the finish of the assembly pin.
3. When the barrel assembly has been removed from the grip, it becomes very easy to clean and manipulate. Likewise, the operating handle and the bolt are easily brushed and wiped.
4. Re-assembly is easy (carefully observe pictures in the instructions) and alignment for assembly pin insertion is nearly automatic but the assembly pin will require some level of effort; a wooden block and small hammer level of effort (but gently).
I have a couple of other 22LR pistols and this one is the easiest to break down, clean, and put back together. This one is on its way to becoming my number one fun gun.

I had my eye on this gun for as long as it has been out. I am thrilled to own it. There is like absolutely no recoil, and I love that it comes with (2)33rd mags. My only complaint is how hard it is for me to perfectly line up the rounds. I had to hit up Amazon to get a speed loader. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Great gun. Light weight for the size and shoots smoothly. I can't wait to add some accessories. Looking at the thumb safety and victory trigger addons.

Who comes up with theses ideas at Kel-Tec. CP33 lite weight, nice sights, and 33 rounds of 22 LR. I%u2019ve been having fun with mine, but keep in mind do what the Kel-Tec manual says.
Loading and ammo are key. Just like us it only eats what it likes! I shoot Aguila 22LR Ammunition SuperExtra 1B222328 High Velocity 40 Grain Copper Plated Round Nose and man it runs like a clock. Take the time to load the mags as well, in the end it will make you happy, an instill confidence in the firearm, take the time to load it as told in the Manual.
The threaded barrel is able to take a muzzle device and looking at the after market stuff, looking good too!
And Yes there is Buds Guns. Supper place to do business. Just a tip for ya! Become a Teams Buds member as I am. The perks are well worth it.
Do I recommend. Way yes on both Kel-Tec and Buds. Can%u2019t go wrong with either.

I had been waiting to purchase one of these for about a year now. Very hard to find and after some time at the range I understand why. Dont get me wrong first thing you need to do before shooting is clean it very well. The oil it is sent with is very thick and tacky. I know because I choose to shoot before cleaning. After cleaning I had very good results. Only a few failure to feed because I had the magazine loaded incorrectly. After 200 to 300 rounds I have had no issues minus a dud round here and there because of bulk ammo. But the Kel Tec CP33 is damn accurate its unreal. I love it. Would reccomend to anybody willing to spend that much for a .22lr. I also own the Kel Tec P17 which is also an absolutely great cheap firearm.
