I bought as many brands of ammo to run through this gun, to test if the claims about shooting a bunch of CCI through it to break in are true. I shot Remington, Aguila, Fiocci, Winchester, Blazer, Armscor, Federal, and even some old old 22lr ammo my dad had. Followed it up with CCI. This gun handled everything amazingly well. Sure there were a couple of FTF, and barely any FTE, only one stove pipe, but I can count those on both hands. You gotta shoot a bunch to break the gun in, that goes for most of all handguns. Bottom line is, THE WALTHER P22 (or at least mine) IS NOT AMMO PICKY. I shot 1000 rounds through it in one range day, and had tons of fun shooting it. I did not have a bad time clearing endless malfunctions, honestly a couple malfunctions are good practice for clearing and training. Cleaned the gun as soon as I could afterward, and it'll function even better. You will not regret buying this gun.

The overall experience with this Walther Arms P22Q TAC .22 LR Threaded Barrel 10R 3.4FDE is good. The pistol shoots well and is accurate. The magazine release is the only thing that needs improvement. Buds is always awesome with everything.

(ONE STAR - I'd give it zero if I could. I clicked on one star but it is still showing me 5 star. Trust me this one is bad.) Maybe it's uncommon, maybe it is common, but my P22Q will not fire..... First time with it at the range (same location as transfer occurred minutes earlier) and I loaded 10 rounds, chambered it, click....nothing. Removed round from chamber and rechambered a new one, click... Nothing. I removed all rounds from the magazine chambered only 1 round and nothing else, click... NOTHING. I put it aside, messed with my other guns (If you're looking for a 22, go with the 1911 model! It's way better and Walther makes one in the same price range as this P22Q). I went back and tried loading up the P22Q again, and finally it fired a few rounds. When it worked I was actually surprised which is NOT GOOD for a gun especially one advertised as good for carry. The next time I went to the range I could not get it to fire at all. I just feel too dangerous trying to fire a malfunctioning gun so I've pretty much locked it in storage since then. I'd advise avoiding this one. Go with their 1911 model instead that thing has been a dream to shoot with

I purchased the Walther Arms P22Q TAC .22 LR because of it being light weight and feels comfortable on my waist. I have purchased other pistols from 45 ACP to 380. The P22Q fits my large hands. I have found that no matter the caliber of hand guns you purchase it will always depend on how you shoot. A 22 is just as deadly as a 45 ACP. With the 22 there is no kick, just smooth shooting.

Nice pistol and it is quiet with a suppressor Update: the brand new Walter P22 out of the box had a poor quality bluing on it. The Walther representative said this was normal wear but I never ever shot it. It sounds like Walther has lost any quality controls they had and will not stand behind a new product. Will never buy or tell anyone to buy their products. I have bought LEOs in better shape than this new product. Changing from 5 to 1 star.

Accuracy is good; it looks and feels great. Buds delivered on time as usual. However, I spent more time clearing FTF malfunctions than actual time plinking down range. I tried CCI, Remington, Aguila, Federal and American Eagle; all with similar results culminating in clearing misfires jammed in the chamber. Two other Walther P22 patrons I met had similar problems. Brought it home and spent an hour cleaning and lubricating it in hopes of achieving better results. My wife's $200 Kel Tec P17 outperforms it in every respect. A bit frustrated and disappointed to say the least... My first Walther and I expected better performance.

Very small pistol. The threaded barrel is great for a silencing device. Not for anyone with large hands. Terrific for training younger shooters. Buds as always was very quick and pricing is usually very fair.

Great quality .22LR shooter. It is a Walther and that is saying everything. Bud's delivered fast and on time to my FFL The only thing I do not like at Bud's is the two prices listed for each gun: cash vs. credit.
