Bud’s is great, and the gun looks and feels solid. But it came with a bent front sight out of the box. The I-J people were good about making it right for me.

This is one fine 1911. First outing with it my wife who never even shot a 1911, cut a 9 shot ragged hole on a B27 target at 18 yards...standing! NOT from a bench rest! Now this pistol has fixed sights..dead on at this range. Trigger was great for a pistol in this price range, slide/frame fit is tight. Recoil is mild due to the heft of this pistol. A great buy! I think I need a few more. Also, the Iver Johnson factory is 30 minutes from my house if I need service! Thanks Buds!

1st purchase with Buds, 100% satisfied. Good price. Very nice 1911, Action was smooth & slick. Shoots like a much more expensive pistol. No issues it went bang every time. Will definitely recommend Buds.

Does not feed well with a full magazine of 9 rounds , However if you put 7 rounds in it will feed properly.

I read plenty of reviews for this gun prior to purchase. I am glad to say I was not disappointed. This is a well made firearm. Not only is there almost no recoil, but it the gun practically aims itself. Four people have shot this gun in the last 3 days, and the other three plan to buy it themselves.
