Iver Johnson 1911A1 Falcon Matte 8+1 .45 ACP 4.25" - Blue/Black, 4.25" Barrel, 8+1 Rounds, Wood Grips, 2-Dot Sights

The fit and finish on this 1911 is done very nicely. The end sight is not a night sight and that is about the only negative that I can say. This pistol has a great feel in your hand. Fires well and accurately enough. 250 rounds through it first day and no issues. I used both steel based ammo and brass. It did seem to shoot slightly more accurately with the FMJBT ammo. I would say for the price point this is an excellent fire arm. Fun to shoot, concealable and has that little extra "Hello I am here" when you are firing it that the 45 ACP is known for. I have a Colt Commander as well and truth be known this shoots close to as accurate. You have to give (as in most cases) an initial cleaning to get the shipping oil off of it but that was fun as well. LOL Yeah, I recommend this and since this makes several firearms that I have bought through Buds so far and I have no issues, zero, zip Nadda. I will be using them again soon.

Haven't gotten to take it out yet, but fit and finish are immaculate. Gonna give it 5 stars for now, and will update this review after the first range trip. Thank you Buds!!!

I finally was able to take this gun out to the range, I fired 200 rounds through it straight out of the box, very tight, well made and great balance to this 1911, at 20 yards i was shooting 3" to 4" groupings consistently and they were on target, very accurate at 20 yards, at 50 yards I used an 18" x 18" target and I was on target with every shot, the grouping was sporadic but every shot was within the 18" x 18" target, I generally don't shoot a pistol at 50 yards but it just felt right with this 1911 pistol, this pistol only came with 1 mag so I bought 2 more and had no problems with any of the mags, I'm glad to say that I took a chance on this 1911 knowing there wasn't any reviews on it prior to me buying it, there were no issues firing 200 rounds from this 1911, no jams, nothing, I would definitely recommend this pistol to anyone, I LOVE IT!!!
