Is the end of the barrel straight or twisted on the end suitable to add a silencer?

Fabuis, this does not have a threaded barrel. So you would have to get a gunsmith to thread the barrel to add a suppressor/silencer. Sorry but hope this helps.

There aren't any waiting periods for rifles. In new Jersey you can't purchase more than one handgun a month but good for rifles. So you're good to go and hope this helps.

Having tons of fun with this rifle! So accurate and fun to shoot. Doesn't seem to like the Winchester hollow point ammo, but flawless with Aguila and CCI. Buds delivers as always!

I think the M&P 15-22 is the best .22LR semiauto on the market. It's super-lightweight, with excellent ergonomics, and being an AR pattern rifle it disassembles the same. Though this one came with the Cal-legal low-capacity 10 round mag, where available, 25 round magazines are inexpensive and extremely reliable. In fact, this rifle, and the one I bought before it, have proven to be on par with the legendary 10/22, but with a better user interface. Many will claim the M&P's plastic receivers aren't durable enough, but unless one sets out to deliberately damage the rifle, it is quite rugged. Accuracy is excellent with a crisp, predictable trigger release, and magazine chances are faster, easier, and far less fumble prone than the 10/22 system. Magazines are large, easy to handle and load. All internal operating parts are steel and appear to be mostly, if not completely interchangeable with standard AR pattern parts. The bolt system is far superior to Ruger in that the entire unit slides out the back, and will readily accept a commercially available anti-bounce weight for smoother cycling. Those looking for an inexpensive post-SHTF rifle should give the M&P serious consideration.
