  Hi Robert, there is a fixed loop sling attachment on the stock. There is no point for a QD attachment.

• Q: I notice Ruger calls it an AR556 instead of AR15. Are the parts making up this rifle standard to AR15s or are the Ruger proprietary?

  Roger, ruger ar556 is just the name and is a standard AR-15. It will accept any milspec AR-15 part. It's not proprietary. Hope this helps.

• Q: Can I add an ambi safety? Also is there anything else I could add for lefty shooter. Can I attach a discharge shield for dispensed rounds? Thank you!

  Yes, you can make this or pretty much any AR-15 ambidextrous. You can add a ambi safety, ambi charging handle, and ambi magazine release. Only thing wouldn't be ambidextrous is the forward assist Wich isn't used very often and the bolt catch/release but you can even buy a Magpul bad lever Wich will extend the bolt release in front of the trigger so you can manipulate it using your trigger finger. Lastly this has a shell deflector on it already so shouldn't have to worry about catching brass in the face. Hope this helps.

  Yes that is a heavy barrel model, but you'd have to have buds remove the 30rd magazines and they don't replace them with compliant ones, or you could just buy the MD compliant model that ships with 10rd magazines

• Q: Why does this gun have its model number end with an R? Every other website has it listed as "8529." When I google "8529R" like buds has it, google doesn't come up with any "8529R" results. Any ideas?

  Mark, the 'R' was added by Bud's, I'm assuming it means 'Ruger. Could be because they have another item that is also 8529. The correct model is 8529. Have a great day!

• Q: I’m going to buy an AR to put a forced reset trigger in and need a full auto rated BCG

  Yes, this is a full auto bcg and will work fine with the rare breeds trigger. As Paul said though I've heard some pretty bad reviews on the rare breeds trigger, of them malfunctioning some as few as 500 rds. Supposedly something to do with a design flaw of a spring. I thought about buying one but couldn't see spending 400+ on a trigger and having it Break a couple magazines later and as far as I know the triggers Don't have a warranty on them. Personally I'd choose to go with a binary trigger, so a bullet fires when pulling and releasing the trigger. Again the frt trigger sounds amazing and once they work out the design flaw I'd love to buy one if they're still around. If you do buy one you'll have to let us know how it goes.
