I recently picked up another Taurus revolver in 357 and was very impressed with its performance so I wanted to go up a level and try the raging hunter in 44 mag. I felt that the price was very fair and the selection from Buds on the different RH 44 revolvers is excellent. I went with the 5 inch model for versatility. So far I am just as impressed with this Taurus as I am the other. This thing is an absolute blast to shoot. I put 50 rounds of Fiocchi 240 grain SJHP down range without issue. Accuracy is incredible and recoil is very manageable. The porting and sheer size no doubt help but add that to proper body mechanics and technique and it is very controllable. It kicks but it doesn't hurt. The double action trigger is so smooth. Easily the best out of the box double action revolver trigger I have felt. Single is a tad heavy though but still good. Only downside I can think of is the front sight being black instead of a bright color could make using irons in low light conditions hard. Nothing some paint can't fix though. I have not mounted a red dot on it yet but I may before taking it hunting. Next on my list to try is the 460 S&W Raging Hunter.

What can I say about this handgun and buds , excellent and excellent I never thought that I would say that my favorite handgun would be a 44mag. Over a semi auto handgun but I am now.My conceal carry is still a semi because of practicality reasons.This is the second Taurus 44mag I purchased through Buds ,the 444 ultralite was my first very nice, but the raging hunter with compensated barrel hardley any recoil well made I with they would come out with an 8 rnd.version.As far as the middle man Buds Guns as always fair prices,reliable and last but not least lawful like me thats why I trust Buds.
