Thanks buds for a great gun. This is a great gun to shoot. I give this gun a 5 stars because its such a great price you can't go wrong and its worth every penny. This gun in my opinion is a $300 dollar gun. Its worth the money. Thanks Ruger.

So far, I have only shot 24 rounds (Aguila HV LR) through this revolver. Reliability was 100%. Accuracy is GOOD. From 35 feet I hit two-inch circles about half the time. That is from
a two-handed, standing position. With more practice I know I will improve those results. The end of the hammer is checkered and allows for a good feel when cocking
the gun. The revolver looks good, has a solid feel when shooting it and is fun to shoot. I do not like the plastic knob on the ejector rod and the loading gate is very stiff to
open. Thus, a 4 instead of a 5. Would I recommend this gun? Yes.

It%u2019s ok, not much more. Pros: It%u2019s inexpensive but I think it should actually be cheaper than it currently is. Check prices. After I ordered I saw it for a dollar less at a store near my house. Could have had it weeks ago. Its best use would be to train new shooters. It doesn%u2019t have that ugly and ridiculous external safety messing up its good looks like one or two other revolvers under $200. It%u2019s got the transfer bar safety %u2013 which is all you need. Maybe also a good tackle box pistol as long as you only need a 22. It%u2019s not going to be your go-to wheel gun - that%u2019s for sure. Cons: No .22 mag cylinder. Maybe the alloys can%u2019t handle it. The frame and grip are not metal. The frame is cast from and aluminum alloy and the pistol grip is cast from a zinc alloy. They can get away with that because it%u2019s a .22. You can clearly see and feel the seam going all the way around the pistol grip on my example. And they coated over some burs or crumbs of material. There are spots on the seam where the metal didn%u2019t quite fill in all the way. Looks like foam metal on the seam in those spots. If you%u2019ve ever done any casting %u2013 you know what I%u2019m talking about. It also has a pretty good scratch or possibly even a crack that they coated over. It%u2019s a hairline something about a half inch long. Crosses half the grip horizontally. It stops at the seam - which makes me think it's a crack. Didn%u2019t see it in the store or it would have gone back straight back. I heard a Ruger Rep. say %u201Chonestly, we can get away with grinding/polishing it less because of the Creakote coating we put on it%u201D. He was not lying %u2013 looking at my example. It%u2019s decently made mostly but the QC was not there on my example. Or maybe it was QC%u2019d and it was considered good enough. It%u2019s smaller than I thought. Most of my pinky hangs off the bottom of the grip. Not quite all of it %u2013 which is kind of annoying. I get a purchase with it and then my pinky slips off - spoiling my aim. If your hands are pretty small, it should be fine. This revolver cannot be fanned. So no cowboy-type quick cylinder dump. I bought it for one reason only: train new shooters. Otherwise, it%u2019s too cheap for me. You get what you pay for. This revolver goes well with a Membership in the NRA. So consider protecting freedom to purchase firearms. Based on my example I would not buy this again. I%u2019ve been shooting for 45 years most any small arm that can be named and I think 3 stars is generous.

After finally receiving we finally got to shoot. Gun worked flawlessly and was fun to shoot. Was a little tricky to make sure you had the cylinder exactly lined up to load the new rounds as if just a little off would drag the loading shute. Sites were hard to line up in low light situations. All in all for the money was well worth it.
