Very happy with all my purchases from Bud's. As expected, I am really happy with my Savage .22 It took a few boxes of ammo & a decent cleaning/oiling, but it runs great. I added a suppressor and it's whisper quiet. I do all my racoon hunting with this rifle.

Less than 100 rds through the gun and the magazine failed. I highly recommend buying aftermarket mags. The gun itself is wicked accurate, despite the trigger being 'so-so'. Buds delivered though! They wasted no time filling my order and shipping it.

My son's first rifle. He Loves it. Added a scope and was really fun zeroing in. Magazine is different than I am used to but seems reliable. No issues after many times in the woods.

The A22 seems to be Savage's direct attempt to compete with the Ruger 10/22. I do not think the following for the 10/22 is going away any time soon, that being said the A22 seems to be a solid rifle. The rifle's action seems smooth, and the trigger (the Accutrigger from Savage line of center fire rifles) is a vast improvement over the Savage model 64. It does use the same rotary magazine as 10/22, so there are tons of aftermarket magazines available. Just like with the 10/22 and the Winchester Wildcat, some magazine work better than other with different models and sub models of the same rifle. The only to be sure how a magazine will work in your rifle is to try it out. The included picatinny rail on the Overwatch version is a nice extra, however the while the barrel is thread for a muzzle device the barrel itself is not the .800 inch outer diameter like on many of the other Savage rimfire models. This outer diameter is .700 inches, which makes it a bit hard to find a muzzle brake that gives that nice flush fit. I did immediately change out the polymer stock for a laminated one and it looks nice. I have not made it out to the range to test it accuracy yet, but if it performs like other Savage rimfire I own I am confident that will not be an issue. I did pair it with a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x rimfire scope. I hope this is help to anyone shopping for a new rimfire rifle.

shoots great I added a muzzle break -25 round mag-bipod-and a top line NC star 4x16x50 scope only thing is the trigger pull weight will not go as low as i would like no big deal its still ok looks and feels fantastic would recommend it
