is this a series 70 or an 80 with the firing pin block? If you dont know how to check, lock the slide back, flip it over and look at the under side of the slide. If you see a circle like button on the under side its an 80, that the firing pin block, just like on a Glock.

About how much in general for a trigger upgrade? Parts & Labor?

Trigger upgrade on a Taurus? I'd just get something with a better trigger out of the box, Girsan, Springfield, are good options. Or You'd need to find a good company or gunsmith that works specifically on Taurus and I've not heard of any. But to give you an idea of the range trigger jobs cost I just sent on my SW M&P 2.0 to agency arms to get a trigger jib and milled for an optic ot came out to about $650. I think just the trigger would have been $300. But the M&P is a common gun with lots of available aftermarket parts for upgrade, I don't think there are to many kits available for Taurus, so it could get spendy.

Tony, most 1911 Trigger Upgrade Kits are $85 to $115 parts and a quality local gunsmith install would run $100 to $125. May get a slight discount if both are from the same place. Cheers and stay safe

Tony, this will depend entirely on the gunsmith and whatever parts are needed. I'd expect to pay atleast $100-$150 possibly more. I'd Google gunsmiths around your area and call around to find the best price. Hope this helps.

What items were supposed to be in the carry case? There are two spaces that were empty...one for an additional magazine, and another for the cleaning brush. Were these supposed to be included?

Geiner, no, only (1) 9rd Magazine is included from Taurus. Extra spaces in cases are usually for Manufacturers to be able to use one case for multiple package configurations. This package is correct. Cheers and stay safe!

Geiner, it appears you received everything. This only comes with one 8 round magazine. I know alot of manufacturers use the same case for several variations of the pistol. Hope this helps.

Geiner, you received everything you were supposed to. Includes Lockable Carry Case, One 9-Round Blued Steel Magazine, Cable Lock, Owner's Manual. The case may be the same case used for other models that include the 'missing' items. Have a great day!

Oh dude! Forget everything you heard about the PT. This thing is complete steel, every single part and it’s really nice. MagGar mags work very well and so do Colt mags. I haven’t fired it yet but I have dissembled it. It’s a really good looking firearm and the serrations are a lot better than standard. Three dot white sights and I don’t see any play in it or the slide.

Shot it yesterday for first time. Happy with results from @5 and 12 yards. Feels good, no recoil issue, need more break in, but good value. Taurus fan.

This has been a 100% reliable pistol and is very accurate. The sights are good enough for range work. The trigger on mine was subpar out of the box. I put a Wilson Combat hammer a sear in it with a Colt sear spring and is now one of my favorite 1911s.
