This is the unicorn I have been chasing, collection complete. Excellent fit and finish, on target first shot and tightened it up from there. Not as heavy as a lot of reviews online were talking about but you know your holding a hoss. Fires smooth with no issues with any ammo. Trigger bad so I put a geisley in it and much better, almost too light though. Grip and stock I did not like, grip came loose around round 12 or so and was distracting so we stopped until I changed but also very small for my hands. Stock just had a lot of play and rattling as we shot. After the upgrades and optic it is a dream piece. Buds layaway made it possible and as always excellent. I have a few ar10s but this one by far is the most trouble free reliable and easy to shoot, you could go cheap but the time and upgrades you would have to do you would be better off with this. Google best AR10 rifle and you will find the Daniel Defense DD5 at the top of almost every list. Complete ambi controls, adjustable gas block, and a rock solid hand guard. My only gripe about this rifle and most DD rifles is the milspec trigger and budget safety selector. Immediately after picking up my rifle I bought a Geissele trigger and a radian raptor safety. This is a higher end rifle and its price reflects that but thanks to Buds I was able to split up the payments over a couple months. If you’re in the market for a higher end ar10 you can’t go wrong with the DD5. Buy once cry once.
