  Hi David and welcome back. No sir. There must be a deliberate 90-degree push to activate. The purpose of the raised line around the button also ensures no accidental activation. Cheers and stay safe!

• Q: Is the laser activated by pushing the red button on either side of the pistol? Does it stay on until turned off (or automatically 6 minutes later)? Can the laser be turned on unintentionally by movement inside a holster or clothing pocket?

  Hi David and welcome. Laser activation is ambidextrous. In the event your VIRIDIAN is accidentally left on, it will
  shut down in approximately 10 minutes after a brief
  warning period. If you wish to keep the power on, simply
  press either button. This will reset the power down timer. The only way to activate is to push the activation button. This will not happen in a quality holster. Cheers and stay safe!

• Q: I’m looking to get my wife a CCDW for her purse. I’ve offered my other pistols but bc they don’t have a manual safety she doesn’t feel comfortable with carrying loaded.
  Does this have a manual safety?

• Q: Has anyone else had trouble getting the round to seat correctly when you go to rack it? Mine will not even close because it doesn't load into the chamber correctly and I even have problems with ejecting , thank you for any information and your time, have a great and blessed day

  Hi Richard and welcome. You will need to try different magazines. If it occurs on specific magazine, it's the magazines. If it occurs with all or most of the magazines, it's likely the firearm. Just disassemble, clean and lubricate, then retry. If you get the same result, it may need to be serviced by Ruger at 336-949-5200 for a RMA. Cheers and stay safe!

  Hi Thomas, yes sir, this is NJ legal. There is no law against lasers. I have lasers on a few of my pistols and I am in NJ.
