Worst gun I ever bought . Only got three bullets through and wouldn’t feed anymore only if the magazine was all the way full would it feed the first bullet only . Had to take to gun smith to have reworked not sure if gonna work right or not will write new review than . Other than that looks good and feels good but I didn’t buy it to look at . As for buds good service as always no complaint there . If you buy one of these I would definelty get the extra warranty

This is a Solid Gun!! Solid Stainless Steel & 10mm as well! Put 75 rds through it first time...no issues to report. Recoil is good a rather impressive FLAME out the front! Grip is OK.....a little smooth for me and I may swap that out later, but it's still "OK"! I originally wanted this in 6in barrel, but IJ has discontinued that model, BUT they told me a 6in in Nickel Plate is coming out. I'd say if you are thinking of getting this gun...GET IT NOW...while they are also still around!!

I've shot a lot of handguns in the last couple years including a few 1911's but this by far is my favorite. The Recoil seems to be less than my Glock 20 and more accurate at least for me.

I have shot 300 rounds of Sellier& Bellot 180 gr. ball ammo and 50 rounds of Underwood 180 gr Jacketed Hollow Point. Both shot great the Underwood ammo is pretty hot but not uncomfortable to shot. I have been shooting 1911's for over 55 years and this is one fine gun. It has as tight a fit as any 1911 I have owned. Even with my old eyes I can still hold a 3 inch group at 15 yards. I do not think the recoil is any different that when shooting hot 45 ACP loads. I have the Eagle XL Stainless 10mm on its way to me now and will review it in a few weeks. Iver Johnson did a good job making this gun and Buds layaway program is great.
