Bernard, I have 4 Taurus G3c's and 2 G3's and so far so good. After my testing and my wife and daughter shooting them, they carry their Taurus G3c's and I carry a G3. I taught them proper shooting techniques as limp wristing is the bane of many a handgun negative review. Cheers and stay safe!

Does this have a thumb safety or is it similar to a Glock?

It does have a manual thumb safety, as well as a trigger bar safety, and a striker block safety to make it drop safe.

Vermont limits the magazine capacity to 15 rounds.Does Bud's swap out the 17 before shipping?

Buds has said that they will remove the over capacity magazines if that is the only compliance issue. They do not replace it or swap it out for a lower capacity one. But this one shows it still comes with a 15rd mag as well, and extras can be purchased as well.

Robert, I have heard from members that if magazine capacity is the only State restriction, some Customer Service Reps have offered this so I would contact Buds to see whether they will or not at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.

Budsgunshop.com WILL NOT alter any firearm to make it compliant. They have a policy against that. It was my pleasure to assist you.
