The Federal Top-Gun load is a very reliable and cost-effective 12-gauge shotshell for a variety of purposes. My only gripe with this order/delivery was that it was my understanding that I was getting the 1200 fps load and instead, Bud's substituted the 1145 fps load without bringing it to my attention. As such, I have deducted one star, but that's on Bud's, not on Federal. I'll just use these for low-recoil combat shotgun training for my students.

This is great shotgun ammo for shotgun target sports. I like Federal shotgun ammunition better than most of the other brands that offer shotgun ammo in the same price range. I found the Federal to be reliable and consistent in performance and not too dirty either. I always switch to 7.5 shot when the weather gets colder and sometimes windy. I feel confident that in less than perfect weather I have the ammo that will deliver to me the best results. At 1200 fps this stuff is good for ALL shotgun target sports. Bud's has it at a great price so what's not to like about it?

I enjoy shooting trap once a week and have found that the 7.5 shot in the target load is one of the most economical loads. Federal ammo with Buds free delivery makes a Win-Win solution for range day.
