What can I say?,it's a Henry! Beautiful rifle,a work of art,almost don't want to shoot it,almost! Lol Buds guns keep it up,fast shipping,excellent layaway plan!

What a wonderful lever-gun. This Henry H024 is the pride of our family’s safe. The .45-70 is a classic chambering and works so well for hunting in thick brush (A lot of what we see in PA). Action is incredibly smooth and love the fast reliability for close-range work on big-game. Love how short the barrel is to ease movement through the woods as well. No catching limbs or branches with this one. I also really appreciate Henry incorporating the side-gate on this historic advancement for their level-action products. Makes loading 2/3 shells so much easier getting in/out the buggy without needing to pull the whole magazine tube out. Will be a family heirloom for generations.

This is my third Henry, first Brass. Its a very beautiful rifle, very solid and very well made. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but will soon. It's a Henry, what more can I say?

I am very disappointed in the FFL THAT HELD MY RIFLE FOR 4 MONTHS BEFORE SENDING IT TO A FFL THAT WAS A CIVIL PERSON!
Black Gun Tactical in Broomfield Colorado 80020 has a short fuse, he is very rude, and he does not do what he says he will do! I am very disappointed with Buds as well:
1. Buds rates Black Gun Tactical as a preferred FFL, Black Gun and the term preferred in the same sentence is surely an Oxymoronic statement. (A Oxymoron for the folks that work customer complaint dept.
2. Why did it take Buds so long to finally realize that I had a legitimate complaint?
3. I contacted Buds thru the on line customer service several times and I felt that the folks were more interested in taking the side of the "FFL THAN THE CUSTOMER."
4. "IF BLACK GUN TACTICAL IN BROOMFIELD CO 80020 REMAINS A PREFERRED FFL I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM BUDS AGAIN"

This rifle is BEAUTIFUL! The fit and finish are perfect, the brass is polished like a mirror, and the checkering on the wood is gorgeously elegant. It shot dead on at 25yds fresh out the box (after I cleaned it of course). I put some very hot ammo through it, and the brass butt bruised my shoulder! You may want to get a rubber butt pad if you plan on shooting it alot, but if you just plan to sight it in and take it to the field a couple days later, you should be just fine. I LOVE this rifle, and I can't wait to shoot it more!

Great product, fantastic finish. Henry is really gonna give marlin a run for there money with the new side gates. Fast as always from buds.

I picked up my new Henry Side Gate Lever .45-70 moments ago at my local shop. After careful inspection, I took the new baby home. She's even more beautiful in my hands in her new home than she was in the shop or on line at Bud's, or on line at the Henry site....LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! I can hardly wait to send a few rounds down range and put her to work next weekend in our Pennsylvania whitetail woods!
