Gene, yes this is perfectly fine to dry fire. If you plan to dry fire it alot I would recommend snap caps, if you aren't going to alot really no reason for snap caps. Hope this helps.

What is the trigger pull on this weapon in pounds?

Jerome, The 9mm SHIELD EZ has an excellent, crisp, light trigger as well. Trigger pull is smooth with modest take up and breaks at a clean 5.0 pounds with a rapid and audible reset. Recoil is very light.

Jerome, there are many reviews written on this gun, and the trigger pull varies from 4 1/4 to 5 lbs in the reviews.

It will vary a little bit from gun to gun even amongst the same model typically trigger weight on this pistol is 4½-5½ pounds, appex makes trigger kits that you can install and make it lighter or heavier

What is the difference between a sig p226. And sig p229 ????

Kevin, The only difference between the P226 and P229 is the length of the barrel/slide and the mag capacity. The 226 will have a slightly longer sight radius, approximately 1/2". The 226 with a longer barrel, will have a slight velocity edge with the same ammunition. The frames differ only in length and the width of the grip (the P229 is a tad wider) but not much.

As advertised, awesome and easy to use pistol. My wife has always had difficulty racking any firearms but this one was easy and she was quite happy with our new purchase.
