As always, Buds shipped super fast. Packaged arrived without issue and in perfect shape. The rifle is amazing. I put a Maven RS4 5-30x56 on it and it's a tac driver. Was able to get 1/2 inch groups with factory ammo. Took it out to a 1000 yards and was able to easily ding steel. I highly recommend this rifle. Also, mine came with a metal magazine, not plastic.

Beware of an unusual problem! I own four other Savage 110 rifles and have been very please for price, performance and accuracy. This one looks great and is super light.
However, upon trying to insert the magazine into the stock's magwell for the first time, it just fell out. Thinking they had sold me a bad magazine, I tried three other 110 magazines; all fell out. I called Savage customer service who sent me a new stock. After installing the new stock and inserted the magazines, each fell out. It appears that the magazine and stock may not have been sized properly. I have since sent back the entire rifle for some sort of remediation; who knows what?
I love my other Savage rifles; the rating simply reflects this very unusual production issue.

The rifle was unboxed showing ZERO blemishes-of any kind.
With the bolt and unloaded magazine in, the rifle weighs 6 pounds two ounces, by my OXO kitchen scale.
The rifle has a beautiful fit and finish, the adjustable stock and trigger work perfectly.
After an initial cleaning, the action is MORE THAN adequately smooth, though obviously not the best I've ever handled-which were rifles that were more than double the cost.
I have the rifle at a gunsmith being outfitted with leupold mounts and a VX3i 4.5-14x40, that should keep the overall weight around 7.5 pounds!
For some reason, the rifle's box (from Savage) was mangled, but, again, the contents were sound.
The outer shipping cardboard box arrived in pristine condition.
I will update the review after I get it to the range.
PS: The clerk at the FFL (a large gun store/range), almost peed his pants when he first held and felt the (absence of) weight of the rifle. Presuming the accuracy is comparable to their reputation, Savage has hit a homer with this product.

An outstanding rifle. Extremely light weight, action is fairly smooth for an fluted bolt. The barrel is amazing and extremely consistent. Also, very attractive looking.
