After receiving my Savage Axis II and going through the break in process I was forced to send it back to savage because the bolt closed extremely tight regardless of the brand of ammo use, don't get me wrong I love the rifle and would have given it a higher mark but for the problem. I have not received it back yet nor do I know the exact cause of the problem but I am almost sure that the head space was not correctly set at the factory. A friend of mine also purchased one and his has the same problem, so not a fluke and his is also back for repairs.
