I have wanted a UTS15 for about 5 years now, and finally decided to pull the trigger (literally). Buds had absolutely the best price and the color I wanted (olive drab!).
When it came in I took it home and was very pleasantly surprised to find "Made In The USA" on this beast. I read through the manual a couple of times and couldn't wait any longer.
I threw a cheap red dot on the UTS and headed to the range with some 00 buck and some slugs. At the range I loaded in the double ought and found that only five shells would go in each magazine. The sixth would go in but not lock in the magazine tube by about 1/16th of an inch. (The 7th round loads in the open end of the magazine behind the locked in 6th round )
Frustrated I stepped onto the range with 12 shells loaded. I pressed the slide release which is oddly positioned under the stock requiring you to take your hand off the pistol grip and racked the first cartridge in the chamber. I had the selector level set in the center position which alternates loading from each tube.
The 12 rounds went fast and without a hitch giving the slide an aggressive rack after each round. The gun worked flawlessly despite some failure to feed negative reviews I had read. I believe that this is caused by shooter error not getting a full aggressive pump.
I then loaded each magazine with 7 Rounds of slugs.....thats right, all fit this time! A little research led me to find that the crimp on the buckshot loads was not even, taking up more space in the tube than the rolled ends of the slugs. 14 one ounce slugs found their target at 25 yards, but were placing all over the target.
I cleared the gun and took it to the bench where I found that the cheap piece of shite scope had shot loose... Looks like a Romeo 5 or a Vortex is going to be happening soon.
Conclusion:
I freaking LOVE this shotgun but it does have some pro's and con's.
Pros
1: It has a lot of polymer in it which lowers the weight
2: it has an ambidextrous AR15 type safety
3: Unlike Kel-Tec's KSG the barrel is under the magazine tubes putting it in more of a recoil into the shoulder than above the shoulder like the KSG. This makes the UTS easier to keep on target.
4. The UTS has a 1 inch rubber pad. Which helps absorb the recoil. It is very comfortable to shoot!
5. Take down for cleaning is a breeze which requires no tools.
Cons
1: It has a lot of polymer in it which gives it a "cheap" feel.....then again the Glock felt strange when it came out because of the polymer frame, and now EVERYONE is using polymer. Therefore...is this really a con?
2: the strange placement of the slide release is not very ergonomic.
3: The shotgun is pre drilled for a laser and flashlight combo which may not be in production anymore as it is no longer listed on the UTAS website.
3. The above mentioned flashlight is/was $250!!!!
4. It is not a semi auto(but I hear one is coming!)
5: My wallet is going to get a lot lighter buying ammo and shooting this beast.

I've had this one for well over a year and am finally getting around to giving a review. It performed flawlessly for me. I know some people complain about jams/stoppages with theirs. But I think perhaps it was operator error. My first time firing it at the range it failed to eject and feed several times. I very quickly realized you have to rack the slide vigorously. Once I caught on to that, it operated perfectly every time. I've put over 300 shells of various types through it and it works without error now. Just remember to rack the slide "vigorously!" The rails also fit just about anything I've tried adding to it. This tactical shotgun gets 5 stars.
