Ruger MKIV 22/45 LT .22 LR GR/GLD 4.4 - 10+1 Rounds, 4.4" Barrel, Polymer Grips, Stainless/Silver, 3-Dot Sights

This firearm is a great deal out of the box. Had never fired one, but knew them by reputation and needed something to shoot in local steel challenge. tl;dr = fun out of the box, fantastic if you're willing to dump about an equal dollar amount into DIY upgrades. - I knew going in the trigger was not optimal by reputation. Dry fire confirmed that was true. Replaced with a TandemKross Victory and find it excellent now. - Grips are fine if you like rubber. I prefer more texture and replaced with Lok grips that look and feel great, medium aggressive. - I had read some dings on the stock firing pin. I found this cheap and easy to upgrade to a titanium TandemKross one. This eliminated what I found to be about a 5% light strike/ftf ratio. I had run several hundred rounds through before coming to this conclusion and making this last swap. - Red dot makes this easy to shoot fast and accurately. - For my hands, the bolt and mag release both sub optimal. I upgraded one and waiting on parts for the other.

My personal opinion....these are the best semi auto 22s on the market. I own 2, both suppressed and they are some of the funnest plinkers. Highly customizeable with a wide array of aftermarket support. Eats everything I feed it and begs for more. Great for recoil sensitive shooters and kids as well. Don't hesitate on these Mark IV Lites!

I have owned a Ruger Mark II for over 35 years and has been a great gun but the new Mark IV lite is great. It is so much lighter and that one button take down, the engineer that came up with this should get the Nobel Peace Prize. I have 300 rounds through this without a single issue thus far. Looking forward to thousands of more rounds through this thing in the coming years.

Everyone needs a 22 plinker. My preference is one that is light and accurate. That pretty much sums up this offering from Ruger AND its take down and reassemble is EASY. Decent price and Bud's always ships quickly.

Great little pistol, super compact, easy to breakdown for cleaning and great ergonomics. Definitely would purchase again I did use white nail polish on the front sight to make it stand out more.

This gun really makes practicing and target shooting with the .22lr caliber FUN. Is very accurate, and have a negligible recoil, basically none, at least in comparison to the 9mm and .40S&W calibers I usually shoot. Extremely easy to field strip for "after the shooting range" maintenance. I am shooting Aguila High Velocity, and after 100+ rounds fired, there were no failures to feed, no "stove piping", absolutely everything went perfectly well. Tight groups are "natural", almost unavoidable to achieve with this small gun. I can tell you, so far, I am happy with "everything" about this gun. Finally, racking the slide and chambering a round is super easy; it's just another very well-made gun from Ruger.
