Charles Daly 601 Field 12 ga. semi-auto Shotgun. After reading several mixed comments about the shotgun overall performance I was skeptical about purchasing this shotgun. I decided to order one and see for myself, the very first shot fired it did not eject and load another shotshell , so I thought here we go , it's going to end up a single shot and not a semi-auto. To my surprise and liking, I pulled the handle back to load another shotshell, squeezed the trigger and from that point forward have had no issues whatsoever with the shotgun ejecting or loading shotshells, which include several different name shotshells up to and including slugs. Overall , for a reasonably priced semi-auto shotgun, it performs just fine.

I recently purchased a 12 gage 601. Once assembled it will not eject a shell or load a shell. UPS who has a contract with Chiappa refuses to return the firearm even with a prepaid shipping label from Chiappa. So far worthless even with 5 year warranty from Chiappa and lifetime warranty from Buds/
