This pistol is the real deal! Got it last week and was able to shoot about 50 rounds through it today. Nailed the targets with amazing accuracy, and I am no marksman...just a 55 yr old with not so great eye sight! The P365XL is well balanced in hand and smooth as silk, absolutely the smoothest shooting gun I have owned to date!
Buds was great, and my local FFL dealer handled the transfer in quick fashion. Very happy with my purchase!

The first time buying a gun and after all my research this was definitely worth the hype! It’s perfect size and not heavy. To top it off the people at buds were amazing and very friendly!

This is my first firearm purchase and let me start off by saying, Buds made the process painless. I started my shopping on Tuesday at outdoors shops around me. I was turned onto Sig Sauer from a few peers and family members. The shops around me could not even order this firearm due to back order issues. I logged onto Buds the same night and was able to purchase this firearm. Alls I can say is wow! I can't wait for my shipment!!!!

After quite a bit of research, I decided to pick up the 365XL with Manual Safety as my primary EDC. Being thinner and smaller than my P320, while still holding a respectable 12 1 rounds, and while maintaining everything I love about my P320, I figured it was worth the extra money. This also moved my P320 to the home/vehicle-defense firearm.
Pros:
- Thin and small. This makes it easy to conceal, and even pocket-carry in some cases.
- Comfortable. The size is just right for my hands. I don't even need the extended magazine to get all my fingers comfortably on the grip.
- Accurate. I can shoot this thing all day and never miss. The very bright front site really helps, and I can get back on target quickly do to the size of the frame and grip.
- Versatile. I've used multiple types of rounds, from Hornady 9mm P 124gr XTP (JHP) rounds to Inceptor 9mm ARX P 65gr. From whatever rounds they provide at the local range to my buddy's home loads. Never a misfire, never a failure to feed, never a hiccup of any kind.
Cons:
- Expensive. Yes, this is quite a bit more expensive than many compact carry weapons. Maybe too expensive? While I prefer it over many of the other offerings out there, I'm not exactly sure it's worth the extra money.
- Manual Safety. Oddly enough, Sig found a way to mess up the manual safety. It's not that it's stiff (even though it is). It's the placement and the actuation. I'm used to a Beretta M9 (92FS-style, but military), and that safety was great. This one is not. It's in a spot directly adjacent to my thumb knuckle, making it rub against it (or come dangerously close to doing so) every time I operate the trigger. Even then, it's still not a smooth action, with it actually feeling like it's gritty. It's also hinged opposite from what I'm used to. I may eventually get over it, but for now, I'm having a problem getting that smooth movement necessary for a defensive draw.
- Magazine Spring. As you might expect, the magazines have to be very heavily sprung to allow 12 rounds (staggered single stack) in such a small package. If not for my Uplula mag loader, I'd be pretty frustrated on range days.
Not sure:
- Trigger. This one has the flat trigger, which I'm simply not used to. Maybe I'll get used to it eventually, but it's different enough to be a factor.
- Grip. The grip itself is textured nicely, but they have a smooth part for the thumb indentation. I don't know why. It seems less secure in my hand than it would if it had texturing in that thumb indentation.
- Not ambidextrous for the magazine release. I haven't done much off-hand stuff with it yet, but I can see this becoming an issue for any off-hand defensive work.
- Slide catch/release. It's just stiff and small. Like the P320, the slide-catch is more difficult to operate than it should be. If my P320 is any indication, it won't get likely get better over time.
Overall:
The P365XL is just the right size for me. It's comfortable, shoots very well, and shoots whatever i give it (no, I haven't tried P , and nor will I). It's easy to carry without printing, and it's not difficult to find a carry rig for it that's right for you. I haven't had any hiccups with the weapon so far, even though I just got it. There are some design features that I would personally like to see changed, but I can live with those. The weapon is still expensive, so make sure you're not overpaying for what you want. I haven't compared it to the new Glock 48 or even the 43X, but I picked the Sig over the Glocks for my own personal reasons. I'm not sure if it's a better weapon, but it's absolutely worth a look if you have the funds.

Fun to shoot, easy to carry, and easy to conceal. Quite possibly the best all around pistol available.

I have several Sig firearms. I bought and shot this one this weekend with my wife, a non shooter. I was truly shocked I thought this gun would be a hopper....it was NOT. Shots smooth again I was amazed. I had shot the hell cat and I assumed that this would be slightly better do to the XL length. It was not like the hell cat at all! I love this gun. It is a everyday accredited that is fun to shoot too....crazy! My wife shot my 3" kimber 45 and loved it but thought this was a close second. She said if asked for the (Kimber) but of course who are we kidding that will never happen. She then said she would like to have this 365 XL. This all surprised me, because the last time and first time over 15 years ago she cried when we went shooting. This time and we had fun.....Last time we shot a S&W .38 not the best choice on my part... SO in closing love the 365 trigger....a nice click, love the reduced recoil.....happy wife, loved the 365 sights...easy to see and quick to see. I ordered the Romeo Zero but nor sure I will use it due to liking the sights so so much.

I purchased my first pistol from Buds and had a no nonsense experience. The price was the best around and was shipped free to my FFL license holder in South Carolina. The total turnaround time from purchase to having the gun in my hand was just a few days and Buds was accurate in their scheduling. When buying through Buds Gun Shop they are On The Ball with their service. If your in the market for purchasing a weapon certainly give Buds the first look.
