Please recommend a scope for this rifle.

Craig, without knowing what you will be using this rifle for and at what distances, and what your budget is, it hard to recommend a scope. no the 308 is a hotter load than the 7.62 and should not be fired in 7.62 guns

Dennis, for safety and warranty reasons, the manufacturer - Sig Sauer - would be the absolute best place to ask at 603-610-3000 option 1 Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm EST.

Like randy said 308 is hotter than 7.62, so 308 shouldn't be fired in a 7.62. with that said this has been a pretty big argument with people for years some swear it's safe some swear it's not. Alot of people say in new modern rifles it's fine just not with older rifles. I'm just telling you what you'll probably hear if you go to a gunshop and ask this question, I'm in no way saying it's ok to shoot 308 out of a 7.62. hope this helps.

I love this beast of burden. It can split hairs at 1000 yards. Just kidding, but it is a great shooter. I waited for the price to come back down then snagged it. Great fun at the range. Thanks to Bud's for fast shipping and great people to work with.

Added a LPVO scope with a red dot mounted on the rings at 45 degrees. Very accurate out to 650-700 meters. Think my aging eyes are the problem beyond that. Have had no FTF/FTE issues. Built like a tank.
